  1. So does anyone know how Cedar Point handles lockers? I usually always go with cargo shorts so I never have to worry about loose articles, but I was wanting to bring a camera to the park.. only thing is.. I'm not going to bother with it if I can't buy an all-day locker sort of pass. I understand they offer all-day lockers.. but they seem to be more for one location. (How KI has it) There isn't a locker purchase that would allow you to use a locker at any of the ride locker locations, right? If not, that would be a nice option so you aren't buying a locker for every single ride right before. The rides that require locker purchase before riding aren't close together exactly.
  2. This is largely why I wished the park would've had a more detailed animation so we could see easier how it would interact with WWC and with the train.. and to get an idea of what the entrance plaza will look like
  3. Yeah I know I tried listening for clicks when the train comes in and didnt notice it.. but watching povs of thunderbird shows that I have terrible ears.. There are definitely clicks, just like for Gatekeeper. I am a man who will admit when I'm wrong. I'm wrong [emoji14]
  4. Judging by the trees next to the WWC blasting stations.. I'd guess they are not quite done yet.
  5. Rode Thunderbird yesterday and I can say it doesn't during the ride.. because it doesn't have a lift.. but it surely doesnt make clicks as it enters the station either so.. Edit- from my memory..
  6. I'm pretty sure that's it. Gatekeeper seems to make the noise as it's twisting upside-down.. and of course, as it enters the station [emoji14] (but from a different reason supposedly (see below))
  7. Yes. Just that it has a fast pace the entire ride.. see rides like Raven at Holiday World versus Pheonix at Knobels having parts between the exciting parts where it turns around.
  8. especially if it ends up having the kind of hours of operation that the Cincinnati carousel has
  9. I hope so! I'd be surprised if it didn't with this seeming to have more if a theme just like Banshee had a soft theme going for it
  10. *struggles to remember that but didnt pay much attention to that year's construction off season so will take your word for it* [emoji14]
  11. I was honestly expecting the Diamondback webcam to serve as our construction cam this year. I think the last time a webcam for construction wasn't on the tower (waterpark addition aside) was WindSeeker
  12. It will be sad to see either Banshee or Diamondback (webcams) go away. I wonder if they budgeted in a way to add a webcam rather than move one somewhere else
  13. The one good thing about my seemingly botched trip to the point on a very windy day. Mean Streak was one of the very few coasters actually running at all that day..I was able to ride it without the trims (to work against the extra wind probably) .. though probably not as strong as no trims on a standard day, it was definitely a much more fun ride, I noticed the extra lateral on the first fan turn. The turn didnt feel over banked for a change. Probably one of the most dissapointing things to happen on old woodies, is when they are trimmed and then on the turns you fall inside the turn rather than being pushed straight to your seat, or better, to the outside of the turn.
  14. I noticed the terrible state of Boo Blasters as of Aug 4th. My gun personally wasnt working too well (my usual skill at shooting can't vary THAT much. Esp concerning the very close targets) lots of things not working as mentioned above, also lots of audio moments would trigger with my friend's gun (which worked normally I think) and the audio would stop and cut off abruptly. It's quite disappointing to experience these kinds of rides when we know how great the experience used to be before Paramount brought Scooby and then esp after CF took that to Boo "Blasters"
  15. With the bring a friend days also this being the last two weeks before highschool and college students go back to school.. those people may be calling off summer jobs and making trips to theme parks or other destinations that you too may be planning.
  16. I hope you change their minds. The airtime on Racer is put to shame (via the current era's 2nd half of the ride) from the kind of air you get on Gemini It's airtime is abrupt, warn you, like Magnum, make your belt tight so you don't bang on the hard... foam-like-plastic
  17. Overgrowth themed Funnel Cakes (colored brown and green)?? As far as icecream and colors.. it could be very similar to a Banshee Twist, probably titled Mystic Twist.
  18. Also see how Cedar Point will often stop a train on the lift if one has a camera out, Kings Island will only use the intercom and the train will continue anyways. Sorry your wife got hit with that stuff :/
  19. And they have the winter to deal with. Luckily it's not the first time GCI has had to deal with winter construction so.. I think it will all end up okay.It is crazy how fast coasters can be built, esp. When we see how long it can take for road construction [emoji14]
  20. Where is that? I can't tell due to the sideways photos.Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk Yeah. I used the photo capture via tapatalk.. dont know why it saved sideways. Next time I'll take it with my camera first
  21. What if the 2nd major announcement ends up being something to do with a long vacant area?
  22. Not much. Just a little more concrete than usual by the drop area.
  23. They'd rather large sections shift together than individual footings shifting in their own likes over time... if it ever even happens *postulating*
  24. Updates in case no one has seen. But Lightning Rod seems to be opened again despite the website and despite the lack of advertising. The ride doesnt have the fold away signs about the technical ride rehearsals anymore
