  1. It is a crop sensor (Nikon ASP-C). I would love to move up to full frame but I don't have the money nor the time to invest in a FF camera. I feel ya. But you're doing better than me because I ended up with only a 1" sensor because I wanted something splash proof and something I wouldnt be required to buy more lenses for... but i probably should've done what most people do regardless hah I really would love to give GS a go and Boulder Dash aswell. RFII is definitely fun. But if yoi've already done Voyage, RFII is a slight step down.
  2. Probably pretty close to 300mm if it's their typical 58mm thread. I don't know your camera's sensor size but.. yeah I assumed it was a crop sensor
  3. Overall, I think also, Kings Island is simply becoming more popular. Not that it hasnt already been. But it certainly starts to feel closer and closer to CP lines as the years progress.
  4. What lens do you use? And how many mm 35equiv is this photo taken with? And goettablitz, I had the same take-away. LR is not my top woodie either. Voyage still reigns.. i need to sample ride El Toro to see the other major victor.
  5. Probably to rekindle the excitement for the many who didn't get to ride Lightning Rod. Though it's possible the drop ride may have been coming anyways, I feel like that addition is to rekindle the thrill seekers. Finally Timber Tower will not be left a vacant space I can see the kiddie coaster and the water slide having been in the works already anyways.
  6. Introducing the longest "Wooden" roller coaster in the world! From Maverick to Millenium Force. It's Mean Streak R3BORN!!Isnt the track that has been arriving RMC's I Box track?
  7. How do we know what their projected schedule is exactly?
  8. I didnt think it'd be a 2017 anyways... but why is there already so much track on site, not just in the park, so early if it would be for 2018?
  9. Must've been the lighting because I can tell there are footings where the final brake run will be/ shed
  10. You must have access to a 4k webcam because I can't make out if there are footings there or not lol
  11. You can just do your phone. Get to the "print tickets" portion so that the QR shows if there is one. Screenshot that so you dont need to depend on the internet when you present your admission. Turn up your screen brightness for a moment and get scanned in Some people like to print things to be on the safe side, but you don't need to. There shouldn't be a senario of trying to get in and having to go home. Worst case they can look up your purchase information based off your credit card, phone number, or name etc. At that point maybe your ID'd be used.
  12. That view-ing! [emoji14] Thanks for sharing! (Who doesn't get to the top of the tower enough apparently haha
  13. The theme had nothing to do with the removal of the ride. It was a maintenance nightmare, suffered frequent breakdowns and the capacity was reduced in order to help with maintenance. There was nothing saving that ride. It did in a way. Theme changed. Ride cycle changed to "make up" for the lack of a theme.. less rows to "allow" less stress. That cycle tore it up more than usual. It was changed to the ferris wheel.. it then was removed afterwards.-I wish I could've ridden the 8 cycle crypt though.. bet it was awesome~
  14. Looks like now we've been topped off then! I didn't check yesterday really, even though I was at the park Glad they are getting the tall stuff finished before the winter hits! I'm sure they are too
  15. Simply because it's Friday, it won't be super crowded. Maybe some people will stay insiden but cold doesnt keep the majority of people away. Go tonight, not tomorrow.
  16. Which I've been saying lol We're almost there! People are just very excited I think
  17. TPR provides coasters with excellent publicity. He will likely be allowed to come. He was there for Banshee.
  18. Last time I did Wolf Pack, it was a bunch of people in wolf masks jumping out of oftentimes obvious locations. Fair enough set pieces, I'd give it a moderate scare score. It's not bad, but it'd not impossible to get scared there. If you're more trying to imagine the station how it was, you'll likely not be payong attention to anyone screaming at you anyways though, right?
  19. Same ^ Edit; i was soo pumped for Banshee. I've been wanting a B&M Invert at Kings Island since I was maybe 10 years old. But the allure that i get from a new GCI is a bit greater
  20. Is it possible the In Motion show was some presentation of what's to come to KI when it opened in the early 70s? Maybe the ride models are talking about them going to move to Kings Island?
  21. It used to have different exit path. It used to connect back to the midway on the right side of The Racer facade instead of the left side, like we have now.
  22. For consideration of people's wallets and having them want to have time to consider if they can get another pass next year, I'd hope they still offer passes as they have been doing. Only difference being you'll be able to buy at the park for longer.
  23. Yeah, as mentioned.. the park seemed to explicitly omit a great deal of statistics for the ride. I think all we know is speed, height, length... maybe drop height? I wish they would release more stats now that the ride isn't new. Especially since Banshee now has the largest loop in the park, and we still don't know how large it is. Before it, I think Firehawk had the largest barely beating Vortex? (which I found hard to believe, cause Vortex, though slimmer, does look quite tall) I presume the loop on Banshee has to be at least 110'? I think it would've been cool if they made its first vertical loop 118' tall as an homage though. Wait what were we talking about?
