  1. Does anyone ever wonder what other companies may have our haven't designed different proposal coasters to KI before they chose GCI? I wonder what other possibilities there could have been
  2. Around 20-25 minutes. If you go on a weekend night, it's like borderline epilepsy with rush hour traffic and Christmas music
  3. That looks sweet! I'm guessing they dropped the flags and everything because the park realizes the theme has slowly died, and they have no intention of reviving it
  4. Oh definitely. WWC will probably look very different. Instead of simply pushing things over, there gonna have to draw between what used to be a tightly drawn attraction
  5. Yes, used to house the Enchanted Voyage all in that one building. Phantom Theatre and on it's been split and that's how they housed their shows in that Enchanted Theatre, I remember watching the Scooby Doo show there a lot. Also, you might enjoy this picture. I got this thing a couple years ago.. I wouldn't be able to tell you where, maybe on this site from the last time someone brought up this topic. (it seems to come up again and again ) Anyways, I always thought it was cool, and so I kept it, and this particular version is color coated to make it a little easier to separate:
  6. Hope they got a steady hand and a fast auto focus!
  7. I'm just happy because that means their 3-point challenge MIGHT not be around in that location anymore
  8. According to some random Youtube comment, it's under refurbishment right now; Don't necessarily care enough to look into it lol
  9. I've seen video touring the closed KK and it seemed like an area was getting prepped for a flat over by SC in the 2nd inversion and turn around area. The video narrated a possible psth going under the corked roll where there is that space we've all seen.
  10. I doubt it. SOB wasnt deemed a failure pre 2001 was it? And even if it was considered failed BY 2000, I'd be surprised to see a new technology develop AND a new ride open with it within a year. Usually new rides take over a year to plan and open. Also.. since when has Colossos been SBNO? And why? *been living under a rock!
  11. Honestly.. I might have to stop by next year despite it not being on my priorities list. I'm just a little curious about these Larson Loopers.. They obviously don't look that fun, but I need to try it before I continue to roll my eyes at whenever Six Flags adds one. Luckily they don't have too many other parks that don't have them Almost feels like KK is still a SIX park when we look at its addition for this year and next year haha now all we need is a 4D free spin!
  12. Well RMC did the retracking at the opening of the park. RMC can work with traditional techniques too
  13. 7 stories? Are Larson Loops normally around 70ft tall? And so what's happening to Thunder Runs track, I wonder
  14. I'm hopeful to assume they have measures to take when and if fires ever threaten the park. Im sure they will take care of the animals at Dollywood.
  15. I agree with many others, except with more passion. The shading around the queues is quite poor.. and on newer rides, no less! -BLSC (not Cedar Fair's doing, but the could've put in some shade.) There is only shade in the switchback section that is only used on very busy days.. the queue after that is over 30 minutes of straight sunlight. Get baked. -Firehawk. First CF installment coaster wise, I believe. Do we remember all the people that passed out due to the sun in line? In my few times actually waiting for this slow operating, dual-loading stationed ride, they'd be passing out cups of water to people, quickly running out etc.. it helps! But the shade there is sparse and honestly, the angle that the shaders sit almost angle with the sun making some of the smallest shadows you can get. Why isnt thw whole thing covered like DB or BLSC? Make it so that shadow size is maximized it's been nine years lol -Diamondback. Better.. but the outer ring of the switchback section is for some reason not covered. The area that mostly gets used not couting busy days.. maybe 20 minutes from there? Then if it's real busy and that skinnier switch back section is used.. fans help... but shade works too and doesn't have running costs. [emoji14] they work well together. -Banshee.. luckily.. the ride's capacity is so great that you never wait more than 10-15 min on a typical day non-weekend.. but still a little sparse around the area that will get used leading up to the ride. All this said.. I've been witness to someone passing out in line on a hot day in line for Millenium Force.. they have great shade (in the area she passed out, same problem in the last 20 min of the queue having no shade at all... not enough fans either) So maybe it's not as simple as having more shade.. but I highly doubt not having ample shade is helping things.. Edit- I just always thought over the years this guest safety concern would've gotten a little more effective attention
  16. I don't understand the 5-1 reccomendation personally. My reccomendation isn't cued to a specific seat, but if you can get to the back car, you'll have less head banging (or none if you anticipate banks) and oh the airtime on the first drop makes it all worth it [emoji14]
  17. I pressume it wouldnt be wrong [emoji14] is all subjective anyways
  18. I think a more likely option would be to do it during haunt time.
  19. Get more flat rides. Thrilling ones, calm ones, just some flats to fill in the empty spots in Coney and between the path and BLSC. There are increasing lines times what with Fast Lane, we need some flats that people make a priority to ride!
  20. Figuring out why they're called bents could leave you digging around for a looong time. Like trying to figure out why the main box for a car is called a frame. Or why a pen is called a pen.. maybe there's a root origins.. but it's likely not an english one unless it's a newer term.
  21. It may not look the prettiest (by design of its original theme) and it may have terrible capacity, and it may be short, but at least it's fun~
  22. I hope that we will be flying through this crossover cause those bents almost look to make a straight line, rather than a curve. Though a lot of people are expecting ejector, I think this coaster will have a lot of floater-ish like Diamondback and like Racers hills (the ones that actually have airtime still) Instagram.com/kingsislandpr Edit- there's another post by them as a slideshow where we can actually see the drop heading towards the lagoon. Also, bents are up... near the station maybe? The picture had a lonely set of bents next to nothing
