As long as we get a version that has a first drop that actually goes all the way down.

I'm expecting Banshee to be as loud as Diamondback.

Predicted Weather for Kings Island Opening day?
calakapepe replied to kingsislandfan1972's topic in Kings Island
Plan to wake up VERY early if you want to be one of the first. I wasn't there on Diamondback's opening day, but from what I've heard, traffic was backed up out onto I-71 in both directions by 6:00 AM. I don't necessarily need to be first, I just meant to be in line before 12:00. So that my wait will be much shorter than the regular pass/ ticketed guests. Not that I'm not a regular person. -
Predicted Weather for Kings Island Opening day?

I've never been to an opening day for the park. Does a sort of ceremony usually occur prior to opening? Ribbon cutting or something, or do they just start letting people in? And will an hour and a half be plenty of time to get to the park in time to be one of the first ERT guests? If anyone was at Diamondback opening day. -
That'd be awesome. Love those rides. Personally.. I'd like to see some flats, whether thrilling or gentle scattered around Back Lot Stunt Coaster.. There's a ton of space there. Like maybe something along Coney Mall where it kinda angles to the left.

That'd be awesome as a guest though

They sure were ambitious though.. I'll give 'em that!

Predicted Weather for Kings Island Opening day?

Looks like 2014 will be dry! Trends show that 2015 on April 18th will undoubtedly be rainy.. but not very rainy. Case closed. -
I wonder how often coasters need to have a rail replaced like is currently happening on The Bat. Or I wonder if this means trouble

Definitely makes a guest wanna come back to the park if they are able to end their day with the joy of being able to hop in line a minute before close. Rather than getting turned around because the park closes in 10 minutes and being told they wouldn't be able to get on the ride by closing time. Adds to a perfect day of FUN.

Yes, just like good Friday. For many, they're gonna spend it according to Catholic practices, others will ride Banshee... Easter isn't a huge holiday IMO. Aside from the Christian roots, it's a holiday for children. Easter is no Christmas or Thanksgiving.

Is that to stay within requirements of having minors working rides?
-
And besides, it's competitive to get to work the best coasters of the park. They know what they're getting into. And it's worth it to them, I'd assume.

I wouldn't pursue that career because media days allows some reporters to ride first. The chances of being those reporters are slim, being on a news station that is covering a ride that you would even like to cover is slim, and being that particular reporter to ride is again... slim.

No theatre is labeled.

I'm sure some do, and some have accepted that that is part of the job; that your scheduled time will, in fact, run over 98% of the time. Much like working in food service has proven to me; arrive early, leave late. Although, even if they truly do want out as soon as possible, aside from maybe the nightly power hours, so to speak, to pump the trains, you won't be able to tell they are upset in staying an extra half hour or hour if they are a good employee.

So.. will the 30 minute ERT be utilized on opening day? Will Gold Pass member be able to get in line 30 minutes early? Assuming trend continues that the newest and most popular rides are included in ERT time.

It'll still be dark enough to enjoy the effects, I'm sure. It won't need to be pitch black, which it would never be pitch black in a populous city.

I'm starting to suspect this free standing wall, although in the renderings will not be brought to life. Yes, I brought it back.

Xtreme Skyflyer recieves new paint scheme

I saw it in person, and it sure does shine in the sunlight! So clean... for now. -
That's actually not unrealistic IMO! No, it's not! They could easily remove that building, have that hill kind of create a circle to the entrance of The Beast, and have a large flat, or in time perhaps another coaster. Hopefully a flat first if one of the two.

Looks like Kings Island also go a change in logo.. On employee ID cards anyways. It looks sweet. Themed towards Banshee with the purple color theme this year! Rebel Yell looks nice with the blue railings! I'm pretty sure we have the same thing. Plus don't we have Banshee ice cream now? T'was sarcasm. NO ONE that lives in 2013 America should be surprised to hear about swirled ice cream flavors.

Yeah! I saw her fly in person for the first time today. Was leaving processing and luckily they started testing by the time I came out. I will say though, with how wide our first loop is.. The peak makes a banking change that makes the cars look like they are almost snapped at the peak... Though, like all other loops, you probably wouldn't notice it whilst riding.

Something I noticed about The Beast

This music brings me back... I never watched either show/ movie.. But just the nostalgia associated with these songs... That will soon, most probably, be relived this season. -
What are you referring to? Me, who just wasted 3 minutes looking at the park website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram...
