In case anyone's wondering Great Coasters International has been teasing a new design they're working on on Facebook:
The last one was uploaded just today. While there is a very high probability this is not for Kings Island, Cedar Fair has been on a GCI streak and I thought it's worth discussing where this might be for, since it hasn't been announced yet.
Because I was taught by the saying "Hope for the best but assume the worst", and I'm quite content with management now so new management stepping in doesn't exactly thrill me. So I'm worried, yeah.
Ok, Thank You Terp for giving me a straight answer, that's what I was looking for, I was just trying to understand all of this stuff. You poked fun at me when I didn't get it so I tried to understand by asking questions and you got annoyed, so I guess I'm finished reading this topic.
So wait, there are tons of lawsuits piling up, it looks like they aren't going to get the 2/3 vote needed, and now there's a hostile takeover? What's a hostile takeover, who's looking to do it, and will it effect current management?
I'm confused.
Good. For such a small park, there's just this....something....about it that I like. Kentucky Rumbler is nice, sure, but the park itself is pretty good. The staff? The rides? Dunno. But I' d hate to see it fall victim to the Great Recession like so many others like it.
Islands of Adventure and Universal Florida instantly come to mind. That is my #1 park, over Cedar Point. Despite having only what, 3 adult coasters when I went? It was still incredible. If someone asked me if I would rather go to Cedar Point or Universal Florida, I'd spend all of 2 seconds deciding.
Wow. I'm just speechless. I mean.....wow.....I just.....wow......
Jackson, who will organize all of his thoughts (And screaming) into a full post when he gathers himself....
When you get older on this site you'll realize that the Interpreter does what he does, tries and typically (Blue 300 foot B&M's at Cedar Point aside) succeeds at informing the good people of KIC about a various many things. He does not require or even attempt to make sure everyone understands him, for he phrases things the way he does to make his posts as accurate and objective as possible.
He even rides coasters, too! Here's to you, Terp!
Oh come now Terpy, this isn't boring (The boring topic is lying around here somewhere, it's got Apollo in the name) it's just long. And really complicated for 9 at night.
I can only imagine the reaction when the park map is released, or on opening day. I think there's a very good chance that Son of Beast will or will not open on April 17. Good. Now there's my contribution to this last 2 pages of logic.
A. If you're counting the 2006 incident, it's hard to say that was under Cedar Fair considering they took the reins only 2 weeks before.
B. If you're talking about the lady who was injured in May that sparked this entire craziness, I hardly call that an "Extreme Accident" considering that even after nearly 8 months there's still very little light on what happened.
And if it doesn't go through, what else is there for Cedar Fair? No one else is offering to buy, so most likely, Bankruptcy. Whoever is opposing this deal is either stupid, greedy, or both.
