  1. I only have about a 10 minute drive from home to Haunt, or a 20 minute drive from my other job to Haunt. This is what I listen to on the drive: The Most Frightening Music in the Universe Scary Music by Erich Kunzel & The Cincinnati Pops and of course, Rob Zombie - Past, Present & Future. You just can't go wrong with Rob Zombie to get you pumped up for Haunt! This is the one I listen to most on the way.
  2. If Scrambler is open during the post-season, that would make GatorGirl happy. She missed it when it wasn't open the past two years. Being 41" there's only so many big rides you can go on, you know...
  3. Looks fun to me. It's good to see another family ride go in at the Point. Did Intamin change their name? From the press release: I hadn't heard them called IntaRide before.
  4. lol Ingrid will be joining you this year. along with Gator and did they say it was atually gonna be at action grill? it just said in Action Zone That's right... it can finally be said... we work Slaughter House!
  5. That will be one long line for a burger. Well, at least it will be fresh. You'll just have to wait awhile while we slice and prepare the meat for you... and we can't guarantee the meat will be 100% USDA beef...
  6. YES! I finally get to say it... I'm in Slaughter House! That feels so good to finally say on here. Now I just have to wait a little longer before I can say what else I know... and it's interesting. All I can say for now is yes, as the map indicates, Slaughter House is at Stunt Crew Grill. I'm not sure how yet, but it's there. Uh oh... I feel a change coming on... It's happening again... just like last year... My avatar... Wally Gator's getting zombie-fied!
  7. ^I'm not sure that your aunt would be able to get it for you. It says that you have to bring your current pass with you to renew at this rate.
  8. I agree with you on Dave Focke. I would also like to see Don Miller inducted.
  9. My long time favorites are Massacre Manor and Trail of Terror (there's just something great about walking through those woods in the dark). Club Blood joined my list of favorites in 2007... and then I worked it last year. And then, of course, there's a certain location this year that I'm sure I'll love...
  10. And we look forward to scaring you! As well as any other KICers that happen to be brave enough to enter...
  11. I'm not too bummed about the weather this weekend. The extended Gator family is heading down to Mammoth Cave this weekend, so we'll be uneffected by the weather for the highlight of our trip!
  12. All I've got to say is this: They've said before that season passes would not get you into Haunt, and it was changed. Now they're saying again that season passes will not get you into Haunt. That may change again. There's no use arguing about it now. Haunt 2010 is a long way off, so we'll just have to wait and see. Just like they said they were going to close the park for an hour at 6:00, have everyone exit and re-enter for Haunt at 7:00. But now they say that's been changed. Personally, I like that Haunt admission is included with the season pass but can understand the gripes about long lines. As long as you can use your season pass for Haunt, just try to attend on one of the first few Haunt weekends. Crowds tend to be less earlier in the Haunt season. Gator, just sayin'...
  13. Huh, I didn't know that. I bet if they had put it in at Coney, you could have seen all the way to Kentucky from it.
  14. I've only ridden Python once, but had an interesting thing happen, something I'm not sure was right for the ride op to do. I was placed in the front seat, Mrs. Gator and GatorGirl were behind me. Due to my size, the lap bar wouldn't lock. The ride op tried to get it to lock, but after failing to do so she said I could ride it as long as I held the lap bar down and held on to the bar in front of me, which was mounted to the car itself. I rode it that way, but I wouldn't have if GatorGirl had been in the seat with me instead of her being with Mrs. Gator. It's a fun little coaster. And I'm glad someone asked the question that started this topic, I was wondering about the last seat too.
  15. Yes! They came to their senses! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The way they've been doing it for years has worked fine. Glad to see they're back to doing it the same way. It would have been a logistical nightmare making everyone exit and having those going to HH re-enter.
  16. Incorrect: http://www.parislasvegas.com/casinos/paris...wer-detail.html Not to mention that I have personally eaten there.... I just found out yesterday while reading a magazine that there is one at the Vegas Eiffel Tower. When I read that, I thought "OOPS! Someone's going to correct me!" I should have known it would be Terpy!
  17. She's mistaken. Kings Island's (and Kings Dominion's) Eiffel Tower is only 1/3 scale. The US one that's half scale is in Las Vegas at Paris casino. Perhaps they did some magic to make both it and the one in Paris duplicates adding up to what was once the full scale Eiffel geegaw in Paris, France! If I'm not mistaken, isn't there also a restaraunt on the low platform of the one in Vegas along with the one in Paris. Also, was the one at the Paris Casino built by Intamin? There's no restaurant on the one in Vegas.
  18. Yes, but Scooby (and Shaggy) always had the munchies (for some reason ), so it makes sense for him to take a pic-a-nic basket...
  19. Was this yesterday? If so, I wonder if it's the same kid I talked to in the DB SRL yesterday. He was full of information: Kid: Have you ridden this yet? Me: 41 times now. Kid: Today? Me: No, that's all season Kid: You know Vortex? Me: Yeah... Kid: They're going to take it out soon because it it's sinking in its foundation. Me: Really... (I didn't feel like getting into an argument with a kid by correcting him) Kid: Yeah. A lot of the bumps in that ride aren't supposed to be there. They're there because the foundation is sinking. This was the first time I had ever run into anyone who told me this. I know we joke about it all the time on here, but I've never actually heard it outside this site until yesterday. A few minutes later, he filled me in on SoB: Kid: Did you know Son of Beast is closed? Me: Yeah... (just waiting for what he was going to tell me next) Kid: Kings Island is planning to tear it down soon. I think I found a Dippin' Dots Guy in the making!
  20. Mmmm... I'm not a minor... I'm not a college student... I guess that does make me a "more mature member of the human race". That would be mature in age, mind you... those that know me can tell you I don't always act mature!
  21. ^I'm not sure when they're going to update the site. Last year's Haunt lineup was announced on September 8th. Whether this year's will be announced sooner is yet to be seen. And I could tell you what the new haunt is, but then I'd have to kill you. But wait, you're already DYING to know what it is... now I've just confused myself... Believe me, I'm dying to talk about it, but I won't on here until the official park announcement. And even then I'll be very limited in what I say until it opens to the public. Good things come to those who wait. Is it September 25th yet?
  22. Not necessarily. The 2008 Haunt lineup was not announced until September 8th last year. I searched KIC a few days ago for the date they were announced so I could get an idea on when they might announce this year's stuff.
  23. One year ago today, I was taking a vacation day from work to go to the big announcement. And it was at about this exact time when we all found out the name, watched the video and saw the model for the first time!
  24. I much prefer Skyflyer over Slingshot. With Slingshot you're comfortably strapped into a ball, and when you shoot up, you're looking straight up and really have no point of reference to tell how far up you are. With Skyflyer, you're hanging by a wire with nothing below you, then the ground rushes towards your face. Skyflyer wins!
  25. How much did you have to pay for the god pass, and what additional benefits does it have over the platinum pass? Does it give you the power to be omnipresent and ride all the rides at the same time? Gator, just havin' fun...
