It's probably the same things that Carowinds (and Cedar Point?) has with Snoopy in the middle and some signs around him:

Cedar Point: The FUN and Only
vortexfan replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I don't think "Where you can" is much better than "Where else?" I'm just imagining now people saying things like "Where you can line jump" or "Where you can pay a few extra nickels for food" every time they experience one of Cedar Fair's unfortunate inconveniences. -
Sure, but Nickelodeon as a brand is till more relevant to this generation of kids. Spongebob's popularity may be decreasing, but its not like that's the only show Nick has to offer. But then again, if Cedar Fair had to keep updating Nick Universe to keep up with the new shows, they'd go back to Peanuts anyway.

Could SFKK's Chang be in danger?

I agree. I was at Six Flags Great America two weeks ago and the park was absolutely spotless and staff was very friendly. -

Because they payed through the nose for the Paramount Parks, parks which they are now pouring billions upon billions into. No... -
Ignore them. They're just rude Honestly, I sensed no rudeness in any post other than, ironically, Kevin James' posts. Kevin, if you get your panties in a bunch over such a small thing, I'm sure nobody here will think much of your absence.

Behemoth has red LED chasers on the lift, regular white service lights that are only on when necessary on both the lift hill and MCBR as well as white flood lights on the ride's structure.

How do we know this was even a problem at all? The ride could have been e-stopped...

Would you agree, then, that if Maverick had no restraints the riders would not fall out on the first drop? Or that if Hydra: The Revenge had no restraints riders would not fall out of the jojo roll? Or that if El Toro had no restraints, riders would still be firmly in their seats after each airtime hill? Or that if an S&S Screamin' Squirrel had no restraints, riders would still be sitting in their seats in the upside-down position?

I had a similar experience at Canada's Wonderland. I bought an Icee from one of the new Mix It Up stations and the employee working there wasn't telling anyone that there were(apparently) no straws left until you had paid. My experience did end on a slightly better note, though...the park's GM (his name escapes me) was standing only a few steps away so I was able to ask him about it. He went into the back of the Mix It Up station and sure enough he emerged in about a minute with a hand full of straws. I actually feel kinda silly about it now...it was such an opportune moment to introduce myself and speak to him about the park and all I asked about was straws.

A meteorologist for the Weather Network (Canadian version of the Weather Channel) once told me that in general they don't have much faith in predicted weather that is more than 5 days away.

Canada's Wonderland

Now don't get me wrong, the food certainly isn't bad at the park (I've had far worse at some other parks), and as far as Cedar Fair goes the variety is excellent. Its just so disappointing to pay high prices for food and drinks when the quality doesn't always justify a high price. Last season I ordered fries at the park and the employee working there actually stopped and asked "Are you sure you still want it?" after she told me the price. -

If you never had a chance to experience Kings Island's Skylab, The Orbiter is also a must ride. I think 3 days at the park is overkill, 2 days should be more than enough time to do everything (unless, for some reason, you really want to go back for a third day). Don't waste valuable riding time going to Behemoth first thing in the morning, since most people will do that. I would recommend either starting off in Medieval Faire (which is completely dead the first 2 hours the park is open) or at Minebuster and Skyrider. Minebuster and Skyrider's lines get insane in the afternoon so its good to get these out of the way while they're walk-ons. And if you don't want to pay outrageous prices for 'meh' food, there are better eating options literally across the street from the park. -
Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
vortexfan replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I remember watching a documentary on Tatsu and the trains were first tested with harder wheels, and then the wheels were switched out one by one for softer ones until the ride completed the course in a specific amount of time. I believe that this is how Diamondback is being tested, and if that is the case, then the ride will not run quite as fast as it is running now. As an example, see: - Behemoth during early testing: (Pay attention to how the ride sounds, and how fast it is running) - Behemoth as it ran for media day: (Notice the decrease in speed, and the ride appears quieter) BUT, you're missing the key detail that in the testing video the train is filled with dummies and in the media day vid, theres only 2 or 3 people in the entire train. That affects the whole ride. Then compare this to the testing video instead: -
