  1. It would be nice to have both and Skyhawk should be swinging over The Racer. I agree with this on so many levels!
  2. Oh, yes you did! You full well intended that to be a pun, so why deny it?
  3. I agree with those who have said they are very different rides and hard to compare; however, I can easily choose. To quote a T-shirt I've seen, I'd rather ride a woodie! Plus, while I despise the trims on both rides, even though The Beast has more of them, it also has the advantage of being very unique. I've ridden The Beast 142x this season now, and Diamondback 54. Does that say anything?! FYI - The lines yesterday were about equal for both rides. That tells me something as well.
  4. Does anyone notice a pattern here that everyone keeps bringing up The Beast crew? Gee...I wonder why that it? Maybe because Beast crew ROCKS...that's why! AGREED!! See...it's not just me either! Thanks, Kat

  6. The group is called Midnight Syndicate, though I'm not sure where you could find it.
  7. Yep! 6'3" it is! Tom and I are the same height.
  8. I really do enjoy Wolverine Wildcat. It's well worth riding, and since Timbers is my #3, I'd have to say that it shouldn't be missed either! I have to admit, though, Cedar Fair has not been maintaining either of the bigger wooden coasters well...but at least they haven't trimmed them.
  9. If you are tired sit down and eat or find a bench. I have seen people ejected from the park for sitting on the handrails. They are not for your tushy they are for your hands. "Here at Kings Island, we like to call those brown things handrails...not butt rails, so get your butts off them and get your hands back on them!" Cry me a river! I'm 6'3" and I fold into FOF just fine!
  10. I seriously doubt that any of that would ever happen. You'd just move with the forces of the right without your head banging into anything. The right kind of lap bars would work just fine on Vortex - see Flight of Fear with and without OTSR's.
  11. I think I've proven that I can tolerate roughness very well...take the trims off Mean Streak please! Do tell! Which one(s), and we'll see if I have to argue! How I loved Georgia Cyclone. That was such a good coaster!! I love a coaster that can shove me halfway out of the lap bar due to the loose restraints!
  12. This post was a very refreshing and well needed positive post, so thanks for sharing! I'm sure Captain Nemo will be happy to read it as well!
  13. There's no such thing as too cold for rides. Flyer, who was on Kentucky Rumbler 30x on New Years Eve with the temperature in the low 20s at best.
  14. I want to be the first to ride with the new lap bars. I've wanted them for years!!!!
  15. Sounds like me while on coasters that don't have OTSR's!!
  16. I do believe that would be Charles...and yes, it cracks me up as well.
  17. Exactly! Anyone remember seeing anyone nude with shoes on riding Whitewater Canyon. My guess is that it's not a problem to take your shirt off to ride the water rides, but it MUST go back on before entering the main park!
  18. I have a reusable buy 1 get 1 free coupon. 1 ticket is $10. So you'd only owe me $5. Warning: I will tell the ride ops to crank it to Mach 4, and I will flip the cage.. it's not worth it unless you get the most out of your ride experience. Sweet! Sounds good to me!
  19. Giga, we have got to figure out how to get a ride on Skyscraper together. I've been wanting to ride it, and I think you'd be the perfect person to ride with!
  20. I'm not sure you could call it a "set" of trims, but there is a brake there. It's similar in design and pointlessness to the one on each side of The Racer at the turnaround.
  21. I'll second what many others have said. Those with disabilities are required to wait the same amount of time (roughly) as those in line if said line is longer than 15 minutes. Those who are coming up the exit do not have special passes that they paid extra for that allow them to skip lines unless they paid the $200 per person for a VIP tour. Try explaining that to a disabled person when they have to wait and someone with a VIP pass gets right on. The VIP's usually aren't looked upon too favorably at that point, nor are the ride ops that explain it to them. ...And if Cedar Fair made wishes come true, there would be no trims in the park.
  22. Hmmm....I might have to print a bunch and put them in the gift shop on trimbrakessuck.com. I should so create that website.
