  1. I've been singing that song to the "higher-ups" for three years now. It ain't gonna happen.
  2. I'm talking about our rather defective giant topspin, that, by the way, Huss refuses to let us even try to fix.
  3. Do we trust Huss products anymore, though?
  4. How about painting Monster something other than black so that people won't fry like an egg when they ride.
  5. Give Vortex some theming. It doesn't need to be anything particular, just something in line, around the ride, in the station, etc. With more and more theming going into the park, rides like this will soon become eyesores, no matter how much fun they are.
  6. Time when line isn't bad: 9:00-9:03am.
  7. That's fine. It's kinda my theory too. It's safety overkill, but better safe than sorry.
  8. I like the restraints the way they are now in comparison to the over the shoulder ones. My point is: why does the ride need the feet restraints and seatbelts? No one can properly answer this question. They serve no real function. Nobody is going to come out of their seat if you remove these two devices. You'd think working on this ride would help your understanding of it, but it doesn't. All it does is help you make up different answers (that obviously aren't true) when the guests ask what they're for.
  9. It just gets annoying when PKI has to shut a ride down and/or change all the restraints just because someone dies on a "similar" ride at a park about a 1000 miles away. Ironically, the accidents are usually not the restraints fault, but the guests'. Plus, a perfect example of TOO safe: FOF. What's with all the "protection?" I worked on the ride for two years, and I could never figure out the purpose. Lap bar: necessary, feet bar: why, SOB doesn't need one, seatbelt: what's the point, in order for the bars to come up: 1) pressure would have to be applied on the bottom of the train cars mid-ride or 2) every mechanism in the seats breaks at once. The only thing all this does is restrict 1 in approximately every 60 riders from riding. Conclusion: in some instances, I think PKI is a little too paranoid.
  10. We trying to copy Disney and Universal.
  11. Mean Streak? Rough? That thing, I thought, was too smooth for a woodie, you know, aside from the constant brakes; even on the first drop.
  12. It's just the G's acting on your legs because you're standing...all stand ups have this effect, some more than others.
  13. Whose going to want a giant topspin after all the problems we've had with TRTR?
  14. Coming from an employee and talking from the other side of the question, I think I speak for every employee when I say the worst perk is BAFFD. This was just a bad idea for everyone: guests don't get on as many attractions as they would want, and employees have at least an hour more of cleanup work to do regardless of where you work. Not to mention, guest stress level rises to an all time high, and they really cannot be pleased by anything. This obviously brings more people to the park, but it also assures a bad park experience for most of the guests attending.
  15. For me, it would have to be a coaster like what I've been hearing about ROTM, though much longer; a coaster with perfect movie-based theming that surrounds the entire ride, and the coaster itself being amazingly thrilling, even without the theming and effects.
  16. I think that, even though it has been proven that 52 inches is perfectly safe, PKI doesn't want to have just one ride with a new height requirement. That would mean a whole new set of wristbands that only really mean something on one ride. Plus, I think PKI is a little too obsessed with safety.
  17. Wow, someone other than me that feels the same way about the "little things" at TRTR! Unfortunately, I have mentioned this problem to my superiors every day I work. They don't care. If the triangle is not fixed this season, it just shows that it never will be.
  18. Yeah, I got that, but what does each crew do? I just want to know if the names actually mean anything in relation to the job.
  19. Alright, I'm curious. What do those names refer to?
  20. " IJ:TR seems more like a family attraction and some of the special effects being used on this ride seem much better then any special effects that could have been used on any Adam’s Family coaster. " We'll see about those effects. I still think the fire is being placed too close to the trains for comfort, especially for the small kids that are able to ride. "But how do you know that the effects will be broken in the second year?" I don't know for a fact, of course. But, looking at TRTR, AE, PT, and anything else themed at PKI, I "know" that some effects will brake fast and not be fixed until much later if at all.
  21. The thing I remember most on QTV was those stupid cats. They haunt me still.
  22. I don't think any real opinions of this ride can be made until at least its second season, when several of the effects are already broken and the ride is in the condition it will more or less stay in for the rest of its existence.
  23. Why get rid of it? Do we want them to bring back Eurobungee or something to replace it?
  24. If possible, can I get my post count too. I was FamousLastWords.
  25. 1. Associates were alot friendlier this year. I know I did my part to make this true, even though there are still some guests you can't please. 2. My home ride TRTR. 3. Goodbye Eagles. 4. What else...IJST, and hopefully a new TRTR program. They'd better not be lying to us. 5. The experience that gave me the best feeling this year happened between July 6th-9th, I can not remember the specific date, just that it was in this range. This event is for my knowing only, though. 6. Fix the effects on TRTR, AE, and the FOF station lights when they break. That would make my season.
