I am so excited for Winterfest. I do not like the price of the food. I plan on going to dinner at a restaurant somewhere close (Any suggestions?) and then being at the park when it opens on a Saturday. Next year I will get a room at Great Wolf Lodge and make a weekend of it.

Anything to help the flow in the kids area is step in the right direction. It's a zoo back there when it's busy.

Well when you’re short on real-estate a flat is the only option unless you tear out another big ride.

I will be there Sunday. I got an interesting email from PKI today. For those of you that have season passes you can print out the coupon and bring in your family and friends. It said print out as many as you need…lol

Pki is a family park. For what you get for the price of admission it is a great value. You have the option of 6 haunted attractions and all the rides and attractions in the park. Now if you’re a season pass holder it’s Free! If not you could get in after 6PM for like $20. Now let’s compare this with some more traditional haunted houses that charge between $10-$20 per person for about 15-30 minutes of fun. Let’s also consider the lines at these haunts average 2 hours on peak nights. I would agree that Fearfest is not as scary as it could be. If that’s what you’re looking for you should seek out a seasonal haunted house. But in my book PKI has the best deal around.

I am taking the family Sunday with out new 06 Gold passes in hand! A nice way to look at this is with the addition of Winterfest you are only looking at a couple months away from the park.

Ohooo my! Someone needs to e-mail me or IM me and give me some hints. I am deploying to Iraq in January and won’t be back until Late May and will miss all the rumors.

I agree that people need to stop complaining. NU is for kids and families. Most on here are too old for these types of attractions. My kids are so happy they are changing things around and adding new rides. You will never make everyone happy no matter what they build.

I am still wishing and hoping for a Chipotle! Hey a man can dream.

I hate to see Beastie re-themed. I know I am taking my little guy for a ride on Scooby's Ghoster Coaster on November 6th. But I do think that PKI is keeping things fresh by doing this.

They could also be installing the fake skating surface that plastic. That way you don’t have to rely on the weather and it can be used over and over. Anyone know for sure how there going to do this? I know the Columbus Zoo uses this system for the winter lights.

I have to say there were huge improvements this year to Fearfest. I know there are those one here that will complain about the haunted attractions. If you think about it you get to ride all the attractions, go to any haunted attraction you want and you have a huge variety. Let’s not forget that if you like something you can go get back in line. Most haunted houses charge for a 15-30 minute haunted house and you’re done! Although some of the haunted houses are on the small side you are getting a great value at a great park. I took the family Saturday and was in the park for over 12 hours. We did all the Nick or Treat activities, Rode or rides and went through 3 haunted attractions before calling it a night at 10PM.

I am going tomorrow. I will ride my rides, then go to all the haunted attractions. No brainer if you ask me.

Funny thing is I am looking forward to it. I have young kids so I will be able to ride them!

At 32 it’s getting hard to get down and crawl and keep up with the kids. They tend to look for anything to make fun of Dad getting older.

I am heading there Saturday. I plan on being there all day. I am sure some people come there for the haunted attractions in the evening. My family’s season passes went to waste big time this year. Hopefully next year with the additions of Nick Universe it will make us want to come out more. How are the lines for the haunted attractions? Any tips on the ones to hit first…last…not at all?

One way to look at it is you get 2 more months to visit your favorite park. Although I would much rather see a new ride going in it beats nothing at all. I am shocked at the price. Even with the season pass discount price you’re looking at nearly $70 for a family of 4 to get in.

I believe that the offer to buy them ended May 22.

I can understand why they took out King Cobra. Is there another coaster at PKI that is in the same boat now? Again I am sure this is all just another crazy rumor. People should never post that crap unless they can back it up with facts and sources.

I was able to ride it several time Saturday and loved every minute of it. I like the ride time ticket system they had going that day. The longest I waited was 15 minutes. Although the ride was short it packed a huge punch. You could feel it in your stomach as you went up the parking garage.

You have a ton of free time on your hands. Great job!
