Cedar Point reveals new signs
markhudson17 replied to gigacoaster2k's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think it looks pretty good. I was kinda expecting something a little bigger -
On the 25th when me and my friend were riding during ERT, we asked for the front/back 3 of the 4 rides, and got it. The last time the guy hesitated.......and then said "whatever, just go". I asked nicely too. i think he was tired of us asking for a certain seat.

The only KI shirt I own at the moment is my DB first rider shirt

As if basketballs weren't annoying enough...
markhudson17 replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Kings Island
I only saw 1 person with one of those today. and amazingly, they weren't bouncing it -
I've heard all the stories about 5-1, so I just had to try it. I can't beleive how amazing it is.

After waiting for my best friend to get back from lunch, both of us and my my cousin and her son headed for KI. We arrived at the park a little before 3. Since my cousin's son wore regular shoes this time, he made it just above the 48" mark. Our first ride was A.E. Waited around 10 minutes. It was my lil cousins first coaster and he loved it. Then we headed over to The Racer. Again, about a 10 minute wait. After that, we headed to FlightDeck, waited about 15 minutes. The real test for my cousin was The Beast. We waited for about 25 minutes. He was a little uneasy at first but ended up loving it as well. We then headed for Vortex. I finally decided to try 5:1. It was amazing. I will no longer sit in any other seat. SOB was up next. Waited about 15 minutes and rode the blue train. At this time, it was about 7:50. We made it to BL:SC right before they closed the queue. Then the ride had some technical difficulties. After waiting about 15 minutes, they said that they were gonna open up The Beast for us to ride instead. We headed over and the ride opps were trying to figure out what was going on. They called over to BL:SC and got it straightened out. While the other 10 people went for the front seats, me and my best friend headed to the back. The second to last row is amazing. Best ride I've ever had, plus it was the last train of the night.

Last saturday we got stuck on the brake run after the splashdown for about 5 minutes....they had some kind of problem in the station. never found out what though. I was curious

I've only seen 2 other members while at KI. That was ToastNJelly and Popwar right behind me on DB. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of you.

My best friend, cousins, and I left my house at 830 and arrived at the park around 925. After we walked in, my cousin realized her son was too short to ride some of the rides. (He's 47 and 3/4 in.) She ended up waiting for me and my friend. We rode Diamondback 3 times in a row.(Rows 1,15, and 10) By the time we were done with that it was after 10 so I decided we should ride The Crypt. I had never ridden it before and probably won't for a while. It actually scared me. After that, we rode The Beast and had an extremely rough ride. We then joined my cousin and her son in Nick U. We rode the Fairly Odd Coaster 3 times in a row. We then headed back to DB and got another row 1 ride. We again went back to Nick U and ended up riding the FOC again. Then we rode Avatar. It actually made me a little sick. The last thing we rode in Nick U was Reptar. After a ride on the train it was time for lunch. We ate at LaRosa's in rivertown. I simply love their pizza. My cousins wanted to ride Viking Fury, so me and my friend rode A.E, Then I got outvoted and had to ride Wild Thornberry's. Got kinda wet so I decided we were going to dry off on Flight Deck. We then went up the Eiffel Tower and had a look around. After getting back to earth, we decided to leave. Not bad for a day when I expected rain.

I'm only up to 9....Should be 15 my next trip
-
I don't really see a reason that they wouldn't be. Just a technical malfunction
-
I love the back seat. Best seat ever. Still ain't got a front seat ride yet though
-
Here is my on-ride photo. I'm on the bottom right in my first rider T. My cousin is next to me. And behind us, two fellow KIC'ers ToastnJelly and Popwar.

Still haven't gotten a night ride yet. Been too tired to stay at the park past 5.

It was a prepaid phone. and I reported it to my service last night and got switched back to another old phone of mine
-
I did not report it. I was about to replace it and it never worked right anyway. The funny thing was that it was in my buttoned up pocket of my shorts. I never expected it to come out at all

This is my first TR so it may not be perfect. Woke up Saturday at 7:00 AM with only 4 hours of sleep the night. My cousin arrived around 7:50 and we headed to Wilmington so she could go to an ATM. We got off I-71 at the KI exit around 8:45ish. Pulled up to the light and her car died. After a few minutes we got it going and almost side-swiped someone cuz they pulled over in our lane. We went through the tolls and got parked in the front of the gold pass parking area. Walked up and got to the metal detectors as soon as they started letting the crowd through. We went and rode Diamondback (row 12) and my cousin just loved it. We ended up riding 3 more times before ERT ended. ( Rows 9 , 16, and 15) On our ride in row 15 I turned around and there were 2 fellow KIC'ers behind us, ToastnJelly and Popwar. After DB, we went and rode The Beast (1:2) andthe ride was a lot smoother than it was last year. Then we ran over and rode Vortex (4:1). I don't think that ride can get any rougher. After that, we rode FOF(2:2). The lauch seemed a lot more forceful this year. This is where the fun began for me. After FOF we rode Firehawk(row 2). After waiting an hour for a ride I didn't want to go on at first, I got on and had a blast. Got off the ride and my phone was gone out of my pocket. That was the first thing I have ever lost to KI and was not very happy about it. After Firehawk we went over to ride The Racer(2:2). My lapbar was really loose but only got a small amount of airtime on one hill, and also the trim really killed the return trip. After that, I talked my cousin onto Delirium. She was nervous through the whole line but wanted to ride again when we got off. We got seats 49 and 50. Then we headed for our final ride which was SOB. While we were heading down and about to go in that little tunnel part, we had two guys linejump us. I wasn't very happy but I didn't want to start anything so I kept my mouth shut. Then the ride had some minor technical difficulties. The two linejumpers decided they didn't want to wait and jumped over that gate right after the switchbacks that goes to that access rode. I'm kinda hoping they got in trouble for being in an restricted area. After waiting around 15 minutes they got the ride going and 20 minutes later we got on. We rode 2:2 on the red train and it beat us up. After that, my cousin decided to go to the I.S. shops to do some shopping. After about 45 minutes we left the park at around 5:30. A fun trip but had some bads parts in it too.

I didn't go to either of my proms, and I regret it. I'll never get the oppurtunity again.
-
The only goal I have is that I'd like to ride The Beast at least 100 times this season
-
I'm hoping to be there at least one day this weekend. But if everything goes right I'll be there saturday and sunday
-
I had my username on my back. The front just had KIC in small letters.
