  1. I would like to see a 3D ride like Toy Story Midway Mania, but that's most likely not going to happen.
  2. I thought that character was Ned Flanders.
  3. I don't think Phantom Theater is coming back.Whatever they remake the Scooby ride into it's probably going to be the same thing for all of the (former Paramount Park's soon to be ex) Scooby rides.Hopefully it will be Peanuts themed and not just a generic Ghostblasters re-do. Haunted Mansion is awesome! It's my favorite dark ride."Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!"It would be great if they could re-do it into something like that.
  4. There's the Peanuts themed show for 2010.That's all that's known right now.
  5. I wonder why they're re-theming with Snoop Dog.He's not exactly family friendly. But there'd be kiddie cars that look like Caddys.
  6. What's for dinner?Meat Loaf again?
  7. I saw Rocky for the first time 20 years ago at the long gone Skywalk Theater in downtown Cincy. And after that I have seen it way too many times on video and tv.Last October it was shown on cable and I was driving Kim crazy by doing the script. She wanted me to shut up so she could hear to regular dialouge lol .
  8. It was good to see you today.I got 11 rides on The Beast.I also got 3 on DB,2 on The Racer(blue side),and 1 each on Scooby,Runaway Reptar,Vortex, and Flight Deck(This was all in 3 hours). It was a great day in the park due to the light crowds. These kind of days really spoil you when it's crowded.
  9. On The Beast today, the ride op would look at his watch and say,"Snoopy says you have x minutes until closing."Wonder if he was hinting.
  10. I've had problems with headbanging on 5-1,which is why I like7-1.
  11. The Beast has been having electrical problems and been getting stuck on the lift the last couple of mornings.
  12. The greatest day I ever had at an amusement park was at KI on one of the Bare Bones nights in 2007.Talk about having the place to yourself! They had about 13 or 14 rides open that night and I rode them about 7 or 8 times each. There were absolutely no lines and I changed seats on susequent rides to get a different experience.
  13. You only want to ride Diamondback?Big suprise there .
  14. Guess you haven't been on it lately. The lift hill and the brake run to the station are just covered with spider webs and little spiders.
  15. They should rename Flight Deck to The Spider. And they don't have to do anything else to the ride except change the sign.It already is themed for it.
  16. Are you a mod or a rocker? I'm a mocker.
  17. But in a serious reply to your question it depends on several factors. For example if there's a ride I want to try or if there's a park I heard good things about.A good example of this is Holiday World.I had heard good things about both the park and The Voyage coaster. So I went on a road trip with some fellow KICer's to check it out.
  18. ^Not to mention line jumpers and teenagers acting like punks. (I just had to.)
  19. I'm suprised no one has said something like,"No it's an amusement park."
  20. There are 3 Culvers in KY, just only in Lexington and Richmond. Nowhere near northern KY, sadly. I would stop at a Culvers on my way to KI if there was one. Then again I have one 3 miles from my house... There's one just a few minutes from KI on Tylersville RD.
  21. Great report Jess. That Marriott looks very familiar(considering I work right across the street from it ).I had thought about going to Stricker's Grove yetserday, but the lousy weather detered me.Hopefully I'll be going in August.
  22. I chose the ferris wheel...er Crypt.I like riding everything else.
  23. ^Even weirder in my dream was that as we rode past a post on the midway I reached out and touched it .It's strange because that's something I never do in real life.
  24. I had a dream about that. They added on to The Beast as you left the station and it went out into the midway and over the crowd for a bit,did a few turns and went back to the first lift hill. The rest of the ride was unchanged.
  25. If I am not mistaken, it is during the Paramount years that they started to phase out the Hanna Barbera characters in favor of the Nick characters. I am a movie buff in addition to a coaster buff. As such, I would have liked to have seen KI focus on the real history of Paramount pictures by focusing on the great stars ( such as Marlene Dietrich, Gloria Swanson, Mae West-without her there would be no Paramount Pictures as she saved Paramount from bankruptcy during the Great Depression) and great classic movies ( Such as Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity, Rear Window, Vertigo. ) Is there anyone other than Terpie and I old enough to remember those great stars and movies? I'm not as old as you guys but I know of the films and actors.James Stewart,Gloria Swanson,Barbara Stanwyck,Fred MacMaurray,Mae West("Come up and see me sometime.").
