Beast Man

Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

I had to give it to The Beast(well duh,with a name like Beast Man ). It's still the longest coaster of any type in North or South America.

And it doesn't help that the KD official website's pic of Rebel Yell still shows one side backwards.

Well I was going by the RCDB.They never said that Rebell Yell was turned back around.

KD has a backwards racing coaster,the kiddie wood coaster is still tehmed to Scooby-Doo,The Crypt and FOF still have their theming,BLSC has it's splashdown,there's a Togo stand-up coaster,and Kat said it felt like the old KI in the 80s.It seems like KD is the ghost of Kings Island past.

Nice TR.The parking lot at KD looks so much smaller than KI's.The exit sign from the highway looks like they just removed "Paramount's" from it.I really like the way the entance looks with the turrets.And I agree about all the theming.Makes me wish I could go there.

It seems the the red Racer tunnel has replaced the tree that used to be outside The Beast's entrance as the place to stick gum.

While I was on Delirium Friday,some idiot thought it would be funny to spit while on the reide.It flew over and hit me on the wrist.I wasn't too happy at that.

It looks like these pilgrims are taking the plunge to HW.

Oh my heart sank when I saw our now transplanted flying eagles.And the log flume had no elephant.

I rode SOB tonight and I couldn't believe it was the same coaster.Incredibly smooth(for SOB,on par with blue Racer).I rode in the front of the blue train and had my hands up the whole ride.I later re-rode in the front of the red and that was a little bit rougher,but not back breaking rough.My lap bar was a bit looser on the blue ride and that seemed to make a difference.

I really like the drops and layout of SOB(and how appropriate initials).On busy days the bottom queues are filled to capacity and then some.But yeah it's not for everyone.Sometimes when I ride I feel fine when I'm exiting.And other times my chest is hurting from being jackhammered.Just a few weeks ago the kids behind me were saying "This is awesome!"It is a good ride when it's not being tempermental.And many times I do prefer to ride up front to avoid being jackhammered.It would be a much better ride if they could figure a way to cut down on the jackhammering.

Paramount is not actually doing the parks.They are just licensing their name and films to the developers.

And I don't think I can take it because it took so long to bake it.

Gator I was wondering the same thing.He must have went to the other Holiday World.

Holiday World was awesome.What can I say that hasn't been said before?I think KI can learn a thing or two from HW.I don't know how much of the differences in policies are from(as Donnie Baker says)state law or from being boneheads. The free drinks were fantastic.We all took full advantage of it.The food was better and cheaper than KI and the ride ops were very friendly.But it was little differences in policy that interested me.The ride ops would just cross the track while the train was out of the station.You could leave your belongings on shelves on the water rides and you could ride barefoot on Pilgrim's Plunge.Again I don't know if this is due to differences in state law or just being more sensible with policies. The fudge was very good.I had the chocolate with nuts.It had a slight minty flavor which was very refreshing.(Oh and Kat,my name is Shawn )

I prefer the KISS Army's policy:rock and roll all night and party every day!

I've been trying to wrack my brain to find a good spot to meet.I just though of it today.I was thinking of the Kroger in Ft Wright on Dixie Hwy.It's right by the 75 cut in the hill.Sound good?

Cedar Fair is quite proud of the fact they run amusement parks, not theme parks. Give Kings Island five more years under Cedar Fair (should the company continue to own it that long), and I doubt you see even a vestige of theming. They do sell a t-shirt in one of the shops that says Kings Island Theme Park.Looks like someone messed up.

Put me down for both.I'd love to go to Holiday World.I've never been there.I've heard so many things about it and The Voyage.I'd love to see for myself how it is.

I agree with you.DB was really smooth.SOB is painful to ride.
