I almost thought they replaced RT LaRosa's with that for a moment, then I realized there is a set of games between that and the games building that faces diagonally.

^^The strobe lighting might be the on-ride photo. Maybe a hint of shed details as well? Yay simul-posting. Welcome to KIC, RyanInc!

^With working 5 days a week, I'll take what I can get.

So I found out I'm off on Easter Sunday and I'm seriously contemplating a visit that day. Just out of curiosity, when KI has been open on Easter, how have the crowds been?

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

I'm especially interested when you get around to Dollywood's train. -
If RMC Hurler could get a first drop like Storm Chaser, that'd be swell.
-
I can't tell if the lights are real or fake on the lead car. Also, that queue reminds me off SOB's ramps going up from the switch-backs to the station but way flatter and better foliage. I wonder if there'll be any KIC references in this queue...

An aspect that I think also dictates which one people will like better is design style. The Beast has the long stretches of track and only has a few bits of laterals, but I think it has great 'big moments' which it does well in building up to (the first drop, the hillside drops after the 2nd tunnel, the helix, being isolated from the park) while Mr T will focus on fast paced, high speed hills littered with airtime and laterals, just one forceful element after another with much more path and ride interactions. I think there's something to be liked in both kinds of rides.

Depending on how work goes on that Saturday (like if I'm an early-out and/or its not too busy), I may show up late on opening day.
-
I should also mention that KI's music is on a loop, and you'll hear the same music order every time, nearly at the same time of day as well.
-
^At least she's not working in Planet Snoopy. I've heard many horror stories of employees being driven crazy by the music there. Plus working WindSeeker gets her the awesome soundtrack on that.

"They're Coming" - Cedar Point

Alien/space theme confirmed. Obviously. -
Shouldn't a re-theme of Adventure Express (which would highly violate the 11th Commandment) be German in theme due to it's 'location' in Oktoberfest?
-
Concerning some of the GP, SOB was popular in spite of its roughness. I still remember all the posts around the internet of GP defending its roughness. It was quite a polarizing ride, that's for sure. I've never seen such split opinions on a coaster before.
-
^I've actually never seen skunks in the park. They are prevalent in Clifton though.
-
I've seen a plethora of animals in the park as well. Gophers are pretty common, but I've also seen owls and red tailed hawks on the train bridge as viewed from the WWC queue. Also have seen deer while riding the train.
-
Rivertown needs some sort of non-coaster attraction(s). The area has 3 coasters, the train and WWC. Get some flats in there somewhere.
-
Thunder Run is completely different in terms of ride quality from Hurler. TR is not nearly as stretched out and has loads more airtime and laterals than Hurler.
-
I thought HUSS went bankrupt and/or is out of business, mainly from Dollywood suing them into oblivion.
-
You mean active violator of the 11th Commandment squirrel. It knew what it was doing. The scene looked directly out of an Indiana Jones movie, too, at least from the POV of the squirrel.
-
I've witnessed a fight in The Beast queue back in the late 90s.

This should be Mr T's station music

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th

I don't think CP could possibly censor all their guests who post things on the internet. Such photos should be okay come the start of the season.
