Unfortunately, I see rain in the forecast for this weekend, a very low chance on Friday, slightly higher chance on Saturday, and Sunday has the highest chance.
-
If they're dispatching that quick, they may be training the crew tonight.

It absolutely flies through that 2nd hill. EDIT: If you want to see it go through the whole course, see the Diamondback cam. Its tearing through the entire course. I'm more giddy about this than Thunderhead. It's also entering the brake run rather quick to give you an idea of how is pacing through the course.

A tip I would have in giving directions around the park is don't always use ride names to describe landmarks. Guests can often forget which rides are which, so try to use visual cues instead of ride names (ex. Vortex- the big coaster in the back with the loops, Banshee- the magenta and blue coaster in the front, Racer- the white coaster, etc). Use more than one way to describe a path.

Come to think of it, its kind of surreal seeing Kings Island nearly tied in coaster count with Cedar Point. I never thought that'd ever be a possibility.
-
I do like all the pass holder ERT events the park has scheduled this season. Definitely will plan on attending a few.
-
I imagine it'll be spoiled immediately on social media.

^You could fit a few flats and a restaurant back there easily.

That whole area between the Eiffel Tower, Grand Carousel, Backlot, Diamondback, and Coney Mall could use some attention.
-
Well, to be honest, Carowinds' wooden collection even with Thunder Road was hardly anything to write home about.
-
I almost thought they replaced RT LaRosa's with that for a moment, then I realized there is a set of games between that and the games building that faces diagonally.

^^The strobe lighting might be the on-ride photo. Maybe a hint of shed details as well? Yay simul-posting. Welcome to KIC, RyanInc!

^With working 5 days a week, I'll take what I can get.

So I found out I'm off on Easter Sunday and I'm seriously contemplating a visit that day. Just out of curiosity, when KI has been open on Easter, how have the crowds been?

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread

I'm especially interested when you get around to Dollywood's train. -
If RMC Hurler could get a first drop like Storm Chaser, that'd be swell.

I can't tell if the lights are real or fake on the lead car. Also, that queue reminds me off SOB's ramps going up from the switch-backs to the station but way flatter and better foliage. I wonder if there'll be any KIC references in this queue...

An aspect that I think also dictates which one people will like better is design style. The Beast has the long stretches of track and only has a few bits of laterals, but I think it has great 'big moments' which it does well in building up to (the first drop, the hillside drops after the 2nd tunnel, the helix, being isolated from the park) while Mr T will focus on fast paced, high speed hills littered with airtime and laterals, just one forceful element after another with much more path and ride interactions. I think there's something to be liked in both kinds of rides.

Depending on how work goes on that Saturday (like if I'm an early-out and/or its not too busy), I may show up late on opening day.
-
I should also mention that KI's music is on a loop, and you'll hear the same music order every time, nearly at the same time of day as well.
-
^At least she's not working in Planet Snoopy. I've heard many horror stories of employees being driven crazy by the music there. Plus working WindSeeker gets her the awesome soundtrack on that.

Alien/space theme confirmed. Obviously.
