  1. Alright, everybody bring earplugs to opening day when we're in the queue.
  2. Uh...about every Disney coaster and a few Universal Studios coasters have dark ride-esque sections.
  3. Ok...seriously, this isn't going to be drop track. It'd be very technical to combine a drop track section with a transfer track, that building is the only logical spot for a train shed, and GCI is one of the last companies I can think of to try something like that. Not. Gonna. Happen. Don't go by animation so much. Use actual logic to think things through.
  4. We all know the real reason we want this in X-Base. Restrooms.
  5. malem- I'm surprised you never rode SOB or King Cobra (the later especially since you were probably tall enough to ride before it bit the dust).
  6. Yeah, all the other GCIs have 2 trains (sans the racing/dueling coasters which have 4 for obvious reasons).
  7. Wodan Timbur Coaster at Europa Park runs 3 trains. Its roughly 200 ft longer than Mystic Timbers. https://rcdb.com/10018.htm
  8. I partially regret not drumming up the courage to go on the tallest slide of the 4 FasTrak (spelling?) slides that the mat racers now sit.
  9. Their is used correctly, but you used were instead of where.
  10. Either start it in X-Base or Action Zone and run the layout behind Banshee and Adventure Express. There's a TON of room there for an adequate giga coaster. It would also kind of make the skyline look more symmetrical-esque with Diamondback and the giga on either side of the Eiffel Tower. As bad as SOB was, seeing it and Diamondback on either side of the park looked impressive. That and it would necessitate restrooms in X-Base.
  11. Those last few bunny hops skimming across the lake should be a good moment in the ride to finish things off.
  12. Cedar Point and Michigan's Adventures in late-May/early-June and Kennywood in early August for me.
  13. A lot of your experience will depend on what particular job you're doing. I worked at Potato Works during a large part the 2004 season. I found it adequate as far as a job goes, but the 45 minute commute was a bit much. It was kind of unique for a first job. The only way I'd ever work there again is in entertainment. silver2005, crossing his fingers for an additional audition before the 2017 season.
  14. Uh...there are a bunch of traditional wooden coasters pushing the century mark right now. As long as they're designed and maintained properly, they can last quite a while, longer than their steel counterparts.
  15. On the non-carbonated drinks, the Freestyle Machines (and some stands) have Minute Maid lemonade and Powerade.
  16. The only way I could see RMC messing with it and keeping it in a similar spirit to the original is if they made it into a launch coaster (nothing above 40 mph), and absolutely no inversions. However, it has to keep all the tunnels as well as the helix through the ruins. Yes, that includes keeping the 2nd lift as is.
  17. When you follow all the CF parks on Facebook and get jealous at Knott's Berry Farm for still being open.
  18. Just a thought, but I just had the idea that we should try to avoid shed spoilers on here until a fair bit after it opens.
  19. ^You've obviously never been around malem.
  20. I think you interpreted that article a bit oddly BB1. I think they gave Dollywood and Hershey as examples of how parks not in chains that aren't up for sale, as in the market for buying parks isn't there within the industry as it is right now. I don't think CF actually approached those chains looking to buy. In that light, plus the fact that CF overpaid for the Paramount Parks, I don't see it happening within the immediate future.
  21. That's one nice looking airtime hill there.
  22. I hate to put it his way, but unless the interior reflects those extents of theming done to the outside, its kinda out of place.
