silver2005's return to Muskegon and 4 parks in 4 states
Just got what I hope are the right concert dates for my community band this summer, and it looks like I'll be getting this trip in during the last full week of July or the week of July going into August. I'm waiting on the last concert's date. At least it'll be warm enough to venture into Lake Michigan while I'm in Muskegon. I'll likely be doing MIA first, then staying a few days around Sandusky/Port Clinton to get in 1 or 2 days (still TBD) at CP, a day at Waldameer, and a day visiting downtown Cleveland and the R&R HOF.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
I have heard from a parent of a Miami U (the one in Oxford, OH) student that they're contemplating adding a week to their spring break.

Vortex's Replacement?
1. Launches have come a long way since the days of Flight of Fear. Premier and Mack do a pretty good time in getting the kinks out during the first year. 2. Not all companies have B&M levels of lack of downtime their first year. Just because they're a bit worse than B&M in that regard doesn't mean they're long term problems. B&M isn't the be-all-end-all. 3. Parks need the variety I'm actually hoping the Intamins that are opening at the Busch/Sea World parks do well because I want to see them be a player in the US market again.

^Those are some lovely curves on that turn around there. I'm hoping for some decent positive g's as it crests like Nitro pulls off.

silver2005's return to Muskegon and 4 parks in 4 states
Well, after much thought of what I want to spend my money on recently, I think I'm going to omit any sort of stint to Chicago and just do MIA, Waldameer and CP. I may take a trek into Cleveland and the R&R HOF though. I'm contemplating bringing my sax to get a photo of it and me in front.

Which coaster gets the RMC axe?
Not every wooden coaster needs RMC treatment and you really can't re-vamp a steel coaster in the way that RMC revamps wood coasters. It'd be cheaper and way more practical to build a new coaster than re-vamp a steel coaster in that way. If KI goes for an RMC, it should be a ground-up coaster. I'd prefer a Topper Track coaster, but anything would suffice.

Jungle Cruise boat sinks.
Well, obviously, they need to get Tom Holland as an employee. He surely knows how to save boats.

Vortex Removal Updates
I say make a SOB flame type thing for Vortex only more 80s in design with lots of neon or LED lights. One other thing I'll miss at night is seeing Vortex's chaser lights.

Remembering King Cobra
Riddler's Revenge and Georgia Scorcher remain operating as stand-ups, too. Also Shockwave at Drayton Manor and a bunch of Togo's in Japan and including the coaster formerly known as Skyrider at Canada's Wonderland operating in Italy.

New For Cedar Point 2020
I can still see a Topper Track RMC working as those are always ground-up designs and only are partly steel. The I-Box track on older structures is definitely plausible as a likely source of hastening structure fatigue, especially on larger wooden coasters where swaying structures are already an issue in regards to comfort. The I-Box just magnifies that with heavier track, trains, and usually higher speeds and acceleration. I wonder if NTAG and Iron Rattler have similar problems.

Orion Testing Begins!
It sounds like a mix of MF's and Wicked Twister's station music, both of which are awesome.

Son of Beast
The creepy thing for me is I rode it within the same week, if not, within a few days of this and counted myself lucky for that timing. Didn't they also reduce the trains from 6 cars per train to 5 that season?

What Else Do You Want To Come Back?
There's one glaring omission from this topic. The parking lot trams.
