That whole back section of the park (even by Thunder Run) felt weird walking through. The park was completely empty but it felt weird how lonely it was back there.

Do you ride op's like when I buckle an empty seat next to me or pull down the restraint?? On Son of Beast we have to buckle the seat belt and push down the lap bar when the seat is also empty. The seat belt does slow us down a little bit so it is awesome when the guest next to it buckles the seat belt. I usually would give it a little tug though if a guest did it for me just in case. But for Flight Deck, if the seat is empty only the harness has to be down, the seat belt doesn't have to be fastened. Good Luck!

^I'm sorry but when you say "ride operator" it bugs me. The position is a "Rides Associate". There were 2 people on my crew last year that were not trained to drive the coasters at all. You just don't operate the rides, you check bars and a bunch of other stuff. I'm sorry if that sounds mean but since I know longer work in the department I feel like I have to be a know-it-all. I know that doesn't sound like a good reason to be a know-it-all. Don't get me wrong, I really hope you get the job! Best of luck to you! Again, I'm sorry if I sounded like a d**k.

I too have an interview this weekend but on Saturday and for admissions. My friend was hired in admissions last week so I hope I get it too!

^I wouldn't mind them adding more trains at all. I know that I will not be getting the first ride because I will not be bidding so I don't mind more money going towards A Kid Again.

^Those little touch ups would be awesome. Flight Deck really needs some TLC including paint. I would love to see some theming put into the actual ride area. I used to love the theming and I still love the ride because they have made the ride a little bit more intense. (At least that's what people are saying because I don't remember much) I would love to see all of the old attractions get some love and work on their stations and that kind of stuff.

^I have taken a video of ISAW and the operator right when you are leaving the loading dock is waving down at the guests from the tower and he waved right at my camera. I don't think it really matters on those kind of slow moving rides unless there are classified things or where "flash photography" is banned.

So very true. How come you didn't say SOB/FD crew. We were pretty fast . I know a guy that is going to be on the Diamondback crew this season that was on our crew last year. He has worked in rides for a couple of years now on a couple of different crews and I think will do great at DB. I remember Nitro's line at SFGAdv and that flew by. But I was even more impressed by Apollo's Chariot's line. That was incredible even on a crowded day. If we get a good crew, I wouldn't worry too much about the line.

I've taken videos of all of the Mountains at Magic Kingdom and on Expedition Everest and Tower of Terror. They didn't seem to mind at all at the Magic Kingdom but on the other two I kinda sneeked it. I was on my cell phone texting before our elevator departed and the Cast Member yelled at me to put it away so I waited until we got to the first stop in the elevator shaft to turn it on. I have seen videos on youtube where the Expedition Everest Cast Members wave at the camera before the coaster is dispatched so I guess they didn't care but I didn't ask when I took my video.

I have taken videos with my cell phone with a wrist strap at Six Flags Great Adventure. But only on Runaway Mine Train, Rolling Thunder, and Skull Mountain. All of these being smaller coasters where I was sure not to drop my phone or anything. I don't think I would ever risk that again though. It was 2 years ago and bad influence from old friends.

Wow Six Flags' policy is much more strict. I heard someone on another site say that they were banned from any Six Flags Park for a year because they had to stop the lift and come up and get their camera. On AE I don't think it is that much of a big deal but on something like Firehawk I would be more strict.

^I noticed that. That was a total burn. ....HAH! We rule!

I have an old one somewhere in my house of my first ride on The Beastie which was also my first real coaster. I used it to put in a book I made in elementary school and I have no idea where it is. Other than that I don't have any on ride photos because we never buy them. Interesting photos everyone!

I don't think you could let a bunch of creek water float into a splash down for a roller coaster. A bunch of things jump out to me as things that can go wrong there.

We used to live in Mason about 2 minutes from the park. There was a road we would take that has now been widened and just does not look anything like it did a couple years ago. It used to have a lot of little hills on it and every time we would visit the park we would have to take this road but my dad would go fast over them so it would get our stomachs and we would saying it was preparing us for the rides.

Transfer track is all the way over on the left now. Looks like that roof is almost done too. I think we can also almost see the path Beast riders will take when walking up to the entrance.

Woohoo! More confirmation on trains! Can't wait to see those new trains!

^I think you're right. There's more than just that one panel now. That's good that they are going to be putting a roof over it.
