  1. But there is no re-entry after 7:00 pm during the Haunt regardless if you have a gold pass. Please remember, it would make us oh so happy.
  2. I know when I pull into the employee lot in the mornings I see plenty of people from the Foods department there earlier than I have to be there. When I pull in at 7:45 when the park opens at 10:00 and see them (both supervisors and associates) walking in I know how much they have to prepare for the guests to come in. That takes determination to get to the park that early and then have to cater to guests needs all day. Then I walk in through the employee entrance to meet a security guard who has been standing there for God knows how long securing that post. Like Kat said, there are so many people that go unnoticed throughout the day that help the park to run smoothly every day. On those rainy days when the park is empty (except for us crazy enthusiasts) there are still those associates sweeping the park, emptying trash cans, standing out at the park tolls, monitoring the gold pass parking entrance, dealing with guests until their ride can open again, cleaning up their shops and food areas. There are some very dedicated employees out there ranging from rides, games, and security who will do anything to help the guest have a great day. Yeah the park is not exploding with great service as we all see with that occasional associate not having the best day. But there are those hidden gems that do the smallest things so guests can enjoy themselves. ]Have you ever thought about the associate that let you in through the front gate that asked how your day was? What about that associate that handed you that free cup of ice water with a smile across their face? Or the associate that gave your child a high five after getting off a ride? Or that associate that makes you laugh when they are spieling while the train leaves the station? Guest Relations is literally right on your way out of the park. Why not catch the name of an associate and mention them to the GR associates?
  3. Wow thanks.
  4. They do use the line for HH. It is now the line for Flight Deck. Instead of closing Flight Deck for HH like they did last year, the line goes through SOB's line, through one of the switchbacks and then one of the silver hand rails are gone, you continue down towards the exit of Flight Deck but right before you start to go over the bridge you take a left (not through the cut through from the exit to the line) and then you are in the line right before you head up the stairs towards the candy machine. Make sense? Probably not but I tried. I think I understand how they are using the line... but does that mean when you are exiting you are cutting through the line? Kinda, there is a wide open space where there is no line where the people that exit can just go back in line. But it's not like they are cutting a big line.

  6. Why do you say that? Because they have so much land to build on? (sarcasm) Kings Dominion and Carowinds are getting huge coasters.
  7. What about a Vekoma SLC? I actually enjoy those coasters. Mind Eraser at SFNE was always fun and the head banging wasn't as bad. But the SLC at SFKK is horrible compared to the others I have been on.
  8. We need a good B&M Invert. I love the forces on those things. I would even settle for a Batman clone! Those things pull some serious g's and are so fun.
  9. I was confused about this at first but then it hit me. If you buy a 2009 pass why wouldn't you be able to use it for 2009? The brand new 2010 passes are the ones that only get you the one visit for 2009.
  10. My favorites this year are Trail of Terror and Club Blood. Least favorite is Corn Stalkers.
  11. I went through Slaughter House for the first time last night. We got in line for it at about 6:15 and we got in at about 7:15 after they had to let in all the VIP people in before us. If it weren't for them it would have been a shorter wait. It wasn't very foggy in there when I went and I thought it was really good. The little hallways with all the white tarps hanging down and you can't see a thing was pretty cool. My friend works at Cut Throat so I've been through it a couple times. She is the best part of the whole maze. Even if I didn't know her it still would be the best part. She is the one on the bed about halfway through the maze as a distraction. I would wait in line for these two but I will never wait in line for Corn Stalkers again. Wow that was completely horrible this year. Only one person made me jump. The rest were so noticeable and the whole maze was very open when it is much scarier in tight enclosed spaces.
  12. Oh man that means more lines. I was working at the store in Nick Universe Sunday and the line didn't end until 6:30! It was a very crazy day. But Kings Island is really treating their pass holders nice this year!
  13. Out of what I have been through so far I am probably going to have to go with Trail of Terror. I am planning on hitting the few I have left this Saturday after work!
  14. I'll be working at turnstiles on Friday! I am so glad I will be close to some of the action! Say hi!
  15. Yay! Someone gets it!
  16. When I rode it this season, it was walkon for the front seat. Because when you went it wasn't crowded. The ride did close pretty early in the season when the park wasn't very crowded. The longest I waited this year for it was about a half hour. It was the day before is closed for the remainder of the year if I recall.
  17. Agreed. No one knows anything yet.
  18. I went up there for my 16th birthday and knew nothing about that coaster. It was my last coaster of the day and couldn't get enough. I absolutely loved it. This is some pretty cool news.
  19. I'll be working at the parking tolls that night. I have heard some great things about the very nice crowd on these nights.
  20. I might be over analyzing, but would this mean a virtual rendering of a ride? It might be that they are editing some footage. I use Finalcut Express to edit my footage and whenever you make a change to the video it makes you render it. It takes some time. That might be what they are talking about. I don't know.
  21. I'm at 96!
  22. They don't even touch your shoulders unless you are really tall. It is a lap bar with two rubbery fixed straps that connect to your seat. Brace yourself because it is very easy to bash your neck on those quick turns like on Maverick. I like the first turn too. Kinda like the Ride of Steel clones at Darien Lake and Six Flags America but a lot fast and a longer turn. EDIT: Does anyone else think that the construction period might go by a little faster with a lot of the coaster being pretty low to the ground?
  23. But definitely not as cool looking IMO.
  24. I think they tried to combine two of their greatest coasters into one. First we have the giga coaster which provides amazing speed. Then we have Intamin's Mega-lite coaster such as Piraten at Djurs Sommerland in Denmark. This coaster provides great airtime and twists and turns. Intimidator looks just like this but at a larger scale. Maybe it will turn out alright.
  25. Someone wrote on that page. Personally I think it is all about the speed and quickness of an actual race car. But I guess we all have our own interpretations. I don't really think it is fair to judge the ride yet (like this guy did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ_-s8M42p0). But for now I am excited to see the outcome.
