That was a tough one between Griffon and Diamondback but I chose Diamondback. Just is a lot more thrilling. But the front row of Griffon does give it a run for its money.
Umm I don't think so but I'm not entirely sure. The department has training before the park opens. This usually happens around late March and if you are still 14 I am not sure you would be able to take part in training.
I would call up to HR for a better answer though. It wouldn't hurt.
Congrats mlt2013!! Welcome to the best department ever!!
I would apply and try to get an interview before the job fair if I were you HTCO. I was at the park last year during the job fair and I'm not sure you would want to wait in that line.
Congrats on getting the job in Admissions!!! I'm guessing I will definitely see you around during work because I am in the same department. Did they tell you what crew or team you would be on?
wow I am so glad I got to go at the end of the 2008 season. Only coaster I can say I will miss is Greezed Lightnin'. It was an alright little park but I can't say I am going to miss it terribly.
haha No way! That's interesting.
I am in my high school's production of Beauty and The Beast this year too for our Spring Musical in March. Except we open on March 5th!
I might actually want to go see this.
Put me down as a maybe.
That would be pretty neat. I'm excited for this park's future! Timberliners AND a new water coaster! Yes, I do believe I will head up there for my first ever trip.
This is good because it creates a new family ride but it is nothing special seeing that the coaster is 17 years old. But then they are recycling a coaster which is good and saves them a lot of money. I like "Mr. Six Pandemonium" better for a Mr. Six themed ride but I guess we will have to live with this.
^I've never seen that. Is it like the Davey Jones projection on Pirates of the Caribbean at WDW? It has a projection of him on a little waterfall of mist.
That really does look huge! The only other water coaster I have been on is Typhoon at SFNE. Is there going to be anything in the tunnel or is it just a normal tunnel?
Just in case any of you thought the picture posted was a fake... it's not. The coaster is actually a lot more visible from the road now. That is really the only thing new that you can see. Avatar's track does look a little bit empty though. I think they have taken Avatar off of the ride vehicle but I cannot be sure.
Woohoo! I run the photo contests over at that site!
Anyways, cool pics! That is cool to see even though if I were at the park when this happens it would seriously ruin the magic a little bit for me. But I guess it is needed every once and a while.
I used to only get one trip to Six Flags New England a year when I lived in Connecticut. I would be watching the weather as soon as I could and start planning. I would change my plans everyday because the weather would. It is so hard to plan theme park trips around weather but whether it rains or not I will be there opening day!
Well I guess it depends when/if I will be working. I think I will go look at Planet Snoopy first and look at all of the changes. Then head over to Diamondback I guess.
2 hours for El Toro, count me in. I don't really mind waiting in line for good rides. There is usually things to look at and if not I can usually keep myself busy.
I took the long way home and drove by Kings Island today. I saw a crane in the old Nick Universe area over by Reptar and Avatar!!! I couldn't see much because I was driving but there was indeed a crane!
