Its good to see my dear Voyage get the respect that it deserves! Actually if I get on my roof, I can see I quite a bit of its hills! And quite frankly, I belive that our Udderly Blue Ice Cream stand has been there longer than Kings Island has thiers! Just some FYI for ya'!

Seriously, that rough?!? Come on toughen up ladies!
-
I love how you can look straight down on Firehawks loop!
-
Wow, that's really cool.
-
It just needs a really good theme or idea/setting, and a more intense ride. You know what, just turn all the lights out and turn it into a good dark, dark ride!
-
^Wow, I think me and you would get along! Exactly how I fell!
-
If your planning on riding my baby, I suggest you pick the front seat. For some reason the back seat seems to pull less G's. Expect a 45 minute wait.
-
I seriously never check, just enjoy the ride people!

Hey, I like my woodies good and rough!

Really Long TR: Finished!

After our little lunch break, me and Micheal were pretty anxious to get on the Legend, but it had a decent wait so we went over to the Raven first. We had about a 20 minute wait. It was still a great ride, but getting kinda' rough. But its okay, I like a rough woodie! No pun intended, ... seriously, NONE! LOL. 9 out of 10. Next we went over to the Legend, it still had a pretty big line, but I thought that it was the best time to get on. So we got in line and had about a 35 minute wait before we got on board. Micheal loved it. I thought the tunnels and first drop were amazing! 10 out of 10. We both got back in line and got another ride in. We had about an hour left to get some rides in, so we got on the Raging Rapids, which is another one of my favorites. Micheal and I were sitting right next to each other and I got absolutely SOAKED, while Micheal isn't wet AT ALL. How the heck does that happen!?! 10 out of 10 In my attempts to get Micheal soaked, we went back to the Plunge. It had a pretty long wait, but we got on anyways. Within fourty minutes or so, we got on our boat. And yet another great ride! With me and Micheal both sitting in the front row, we got DRENCHED! Absolutely drenched! Next we scadoodled over to the Voyage and got onto the second to last train of the night... well technally, afternoon, but it was fairly dark outside already. So we got somewhat of a night ride on the Voyage! Great ride! I <3 the night rides on the Voyage! Great way to end the day! Final Ride Count: Voyage- 2 Pilgrims Plunge-2 Liberty Launch- 2 Legend- 2 Raven- 1 Hallowswings- 1 Raging Rapids- 1 Paul Revere's Midnight Ride- 1 Scarecrow Scrambler- 1 Turkey Whirl- 1

After me and Micheal's attempt at the Turkey Whirl, we headed over to the Hallowswings, decent ride, (IMO better than Zepher), 7.5 out of 10. Next was the Scarecrow Scrambler, really good flat, it just pulls laughs right out of me because me and my friends always make "whhheeeeee" noises every time we go on that ride! 9.5 out of 10. Then there was Paul Revere's Midnight Ride (identical to the Monster at KI), another good little flat. 9 out of 10. After that, we decided to get on the Liberty Launch. Really thrilling ride! 10 out of 10. Micheal started to get a headache so I had to take the second ride in the Single Riders Lane. Another thriller. By far my favorite flat at the park! We met up with Mom and Lisa at Kringles Cafe around 1 o' clock for lunch. We all shared a cheese pizza and I got an order of cheese fries and a Mountain Dew. After Micheal got some Ibuprofen in his system and some food in his stomach, we were ready to hit some of the coasters! More on that in a sec!...

Me, my mom, my friend Micheal, and my mom's friend Lisa, met up at my house and left around 9 am on our way to Santa Claus. At about 9:15 I saw my first glimpse of the Voyage for the season. Soon after followed by the Plunge! Amazing! The webcam made it look sort of miniscule, but trust me! It isn't! As we kept driving we got a GREAT view of it from the employee parking! We got to the park and situated just and time. We got to the ropes almost just as the park opened and they let the guests through. Me and Micheal split from my mom and Lisa, and hurried our way to Pilgrims Plunge first, because we knew that there would be a big line any other time. Our plan worked pretty good and only had about a 15-minute wait. All I can say is BREATHTAKING!!! Absolutely above my expectations! The open-air elevator may be one of the coolest things I have seen on a fairly old ride type in a while. Very innovative! 10 out of 10. I just hope that it doesn't have the Intamin curse on it. Next we headed over to, my obsession, the Voyage and had about a 35-40 minute wait, not too bad. But the wait was worth it! Absolutely amazing! It my be me not being on it for so long, but it seemed quite a bit faster than it was late last year. 10 out of 10 After we agreed that the line on the Voyage was way to long for a second go, we went to go ride some flats. Starting with the Turkey Whirl, because you have to admit that its pretty fun. We just couldn't get the cars spinning fast enough. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. More in a second...

Wow, this is just disgusting! The place used to look SO beautiful. They better at least plant some lush green grass!
-
Oh, yeah, your right. I forgot that you had mentioned that. But yeah, thats a pretty good back up plan!

Okay, my churches Youth Group is planning a Kings Island trip in Mid-June. So as the groups coaster enthusiest, she asked me to choose. So I want you to pick out the day where you think that it is most likely to be emptiest on.
-
Okay call me crazy, but I say Flight of Fear! That was the very first *real* coaster for me. I didn't know what was inside the building so my parents just told me that it was a huge room that they launched you into and you did a bunch of really fast circles around in it. She also told me that she had never ridden it, (lie). After that I was estatic! She told me that there wasn't many roller coasters worse than that and I ended up ridding every coaster in the park! Never afraid again. Even if she is really scared. Force her on it. Its for her own good! Trust me!

1. Holiday World (The park I visit the most.) 2. Kings Island 3. Disney World Magic Kingdom (This park just didn't appeal to me much. Not enough thrills.) I've only visited 3 parks, but am planning visiting Universal Studios Florida, Islands Of Adventure, and Cedar Point this summer.

Oh my gosh? Really? I know it just your opinion, but I absolutely love that pizza! Oh and just in case you love your Starbucks, Holiday World removed all Starbucks brand products from thier menu this season. -

Holiday World Schedule
FOFreak replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
From my many visits to Holiday World, I can tell you that The Voyage, Raven, and Legend peak at the beginning of the day, taper off, then fill back up around the last two hours of the day. Splashin' Safari peaks from 1 'o clock to 4-5 'o clock. And since Pilgrims Plunge is the newest ride there, that should most likely recieve plenty of attention around opening time and then again when it starts to get hot. So my suggestion is to go to ride some flats, until Splashin' Safari opens and hit that early in the morning before the heat picks up and everybody gets hot and comes to the waterpark to cool off. Then when the waterpark starts to fill up, head over to Pilgrims Plunge, and then hit the coasters. After that, you can hit some of the flats that you missed the first time around. Feel free to stop at some of the great eateries around the park also, they have great prices and very good food! -
The point of a new path to X-Base is for the expansion of X-Base. At the moment, Firehawk has caused a dead end, but a slight altering of the pathway would fix this problem and add more space for the park to build on. I also agree that the Island most likely will not receive much of an addition coaster-wise until atleast 2012.

I haven't been on Diamondback yet so, I'm not gonna' try to put it in just yet. 1. Voyage 2. Son of Beast 3. Flight of Fear 4. Vortex 5. Firehawk

IMO, the two most likely possiblities here are a pathway to X-Base. And even more likely than that is absolutely nothing.
