YES and YES.

I do indeed agree that DB destroys Millennium Force. A few disagree with me on this, but I think it destroys Magnum as well. I was so excited to ride it that when we were almost to the station for our inaugural first rides, the realization hit me like a ton of bricks as the station erupted with deafening cheers, screams, and whistles. I actually had tears of joy running down my face. Jesse thought I was scared! DB's airtime is out of this world.. it slams your stomach into your spine as it speeds down every drop, and at the top of every hill you literally float up completely out of your seat for like 3 straight seconds. It really pulls you through the hammerhead and helix too. You guys were an amazing group to hang out with yesterday. I never wanted the day to end. Rivertown does indeed look amazing and so does the park.

Leaving my house in a few! I've been trying to be good and watch what I eat the last several days.. I'm ready for some chili cheese dogs!

LOL Single Rider Bob is awesome! He is a really nice guy! You know you're a KI addict when you plan on wearing red and yellow earrings to the park, with a KIC shirt that another KIC member made, and cargo pants that you bought specifically to wear to amusement parks.

I'll be wearing violakat's custom shirt that she made me, with dark green capris and blue flip flops that match the lettering on the shirt!

I was told by someone who works there that there is no one there after 5 pm.

Today I missed the call while I was at work. I ran back to the back room, called back and told them I was at work, and they asked what a good time to call back would be. I said after 3. It is now 6:30 pm, and I didn't get a call back. I hope I don't miss the call (again) tomorrow while I'm working, and I certainly hope it won't be too late if I call back after 3 pm.

That is so amazing. She texted me earlier and let me know. Kat is one of the most fun people I have ever hung out with, not to mention it seems we are kindred spirits, and I love her to death.. she deserves this!

I'll be there with Kat's specially made KIC shirt (big design on back, username on front) and my bought-them-just-to-wear-to-amusement-parks dark green cargo capris. Call, text, come find me, I'll ride with you, whoever you are.

I think KI has a great blend of mild rides and thrill rides. It's Cedar Point that needs more mild rides. You have the Giant Wheel, coal train, a few sparse kids' areas, and that's it. The rest is all towering roller coasters.. which by the way, is fine with me.. but not for someone else. Then again, that may just be me.. I take Drop Tower's free fall with no hands. I love an extreme thrill.

I was just making an overall statement, you're all right. I know what your brother means. I'm fine on Delirium, maXair, and Skyscraper. But those carnival spinning rides that continuously spin so fast everything is a blur.. that's a big no for me. They make me nauseous to the point where I just want to go home.

With all due respect, as I stated in my CP Oct. 10-12 PTR, maXair destroys Delirium. maXair's cycle is longer, it seems to have more swings, and you definitely swing higher.. so high at some points that you feel as if you are upside down. maXair tosses you gently, while Delirium seems to jerk a little after it hits its apex and the ride comes to a halt. I've been on both several times, and there is indeed a marked difference.

I also received a confirmation email, but no phone call yet. I hope that they do not call while I am at work tomorrow.. Thursday is our busy day and I will be lucky to stop for 5 minutes to grab half a sandwich! Way to go Jackson. I'm excited for you!

I'm seat 169, Angela M. I just hope the park calls to confirm tonight, instead of tomorrow while I am at work and cannot answer my cell phone. By the way, thanks Danielle (keiko_coaster) and Kat (violakat03) for texting me while I was at work to let me know I had won and what seat number I was, so I didn't have to wait 7 more hours until I was off work to know. You girls rock.

I did like the park back when it was Paramount mainly because of the movie theming (most of the movies featured were my favorites), but the park felt more like a traditional family park. Not that that is a bad thing, but eventually people get bored with parks like that and find other parks to visit. (I still slip up from time to time and call Invertigo Face/Off. I am sorry but without the Top Gun theming, Flight Deck has lost its appeal to me.) Regardless of my personal opinion above: With Paramount owning the park, it seemed that the park and the rides were depending on the support of popular movies. Who knows how many movie re-themes they would need to have done to keep the park's appeal, and the guests coming back? Since CF took over, the park has really been put on the map. It's not just because of Diamondback. The music in the park, the publicizing of events, and the cleaning up of the midway (which I have noticed) are definite factors. I was pleased with the repainting of Vortex too, even if only because it's Diamondback's neighbor and will likely be seen in several media shots. To this day, Vortex is still one of my favorites, and it was my first real coaster. I'm also a huge fan of Cedar Point, and I noticed last year that the park is starting to get a touch of CP magic. I feel it when I walk down the midway, and it's great. The best thing to me is, it seems that the park is working harder to accommodate their guests, along with carefully listening to people about what they would like to see, and applying that to future plans. That is one of the things I REALLY appreciate about the park.. that they pay attention to their guests. My vote goes to Cedar Fair.

I know right? I saw them and my stomach growled. When Kat and I went to get our passes April 1, the entrance still had last year's Haunt signs up, and the scroller board (can't remember the term for it right now) was still scrolling the rides that were closed for Haunt last year.

I am wondering the same thing. I am not off work until 3 pm tomorrow, and we are really not allowed to use our cell phones at work. Do we have any sort of grace period to call back and confirm our bid if we cannot answer the phone?

I'm looking forward to seeing mine. I appreciate the phone call earlier! I did change my mind, however. I would like my design printed lopsided on a dirty, stained size 9XL shirt with the seams pulling apart because that's hot. Angie, who has KIC members in her phone because she's awesome like that and everyone loves her LOL
