  1. They will have a Plinko board for sure. I haven't seen a wheel though. I'm not sure if Plinko is a registered trademark so it is capitalized to avoid the plague.
  2. I think there is another Harry Potter book in the works, too. I have never seen the movies or read the books and I loved the area in IoA. I don't think the franchise has to be fresh for people to enjoy the rides or spend their money on Butterbeer. It's so well done that someone that doesn't know anything about the franchise can enjoy it. Even if it is only popular for ten years, it has been worth it for Comcast.
  3. Google used the bike in the park. I was there that day.
  4. Beastie also had "Beast tracks" to the entrance. They were purple.
  5. I watched this live and I'm probably most excited for the dragon that breathes fire. Universal is amazing.
  6. Some departments hire later than others. If merchandise passes on you, then you will be passed on to the next option you applied for.
  7. They were their for the park's Halloween events, IIRC. I know it was longer than just the night of the announcement.
  8. Sigh... http://www.buzzfeed.com/tanyachen/facts-you-should-know-about-orca-captivity
  9. Dollywood's new coaster is going to be amazing. I think I am more excited for that than Banshee. Weird, I know.
  10. Lights like this: From Heide Park in Germany.
  11. I've been visiting both each year since before I could walk. I get the "homey" feeling at both parks. It's like I have separated parents or something. I go to each park for different reasons. I mainly visit Kings Island when I want to relax or because CoasterFanatic2012 lives in Troy so he is on the way. I go to Cedar Point for excitement and energy. I rarely take naps at Cedar Point, but it's not a Kings Island trip unless I take a solid snooze on the train. They are and will remain completely different parks.
  12. "Mom, I'm growing up really fast, and soon I will be going off to college. We won't be able to spend a lot of time together like we do now. We need to do this while we still have the chance to do it." Worked like a charm for me back then. You should try it.
  13. Don's in Chicago for the weekend for an ACE event. Quit bugging him.
  14. ...and what a beautiful backside she has! Joncars05, heading for the exit... Couldn't agree more! I wish I could like this more than once.
  15. Adena has done most of the ride construction for Cedar Fair for a while.
  16. Depending on when you guys are planning on going I could get you free tickets, or at least discounted tickets.
  17. I agree with you guys about it working well at Disney, but those are also Disney quality hotels. Cedar Point's resorts/campground/Light House Point are no better quality or cost than the hotels a few minutes away (Pre Breakers' renovation). CP is able to sell their rooms because of the beach and walking distance to the park. I'm not saying an off site campground wouldn't work, I'm just arguing for the sake of conversation.
  18. ^Breakers Express is about as far inland as I think they can go before the "on location resort" atmosphere runs out. Any farther and it is just another hotel with bussing service. Being able to wake up and walk directly into the park is the whole idea behind on location resorts, right?
  19. Isn't being on location the selling factor of the campground and hotels? If you pick it up and move it inland what is appealing about it?
  20. I'll be surprised if it is for expansion of the water park. Ouimet has said in the past he was interested in expanding campgrounds. I see this as a revamp and not a removal, but I've never been more out of the loop when it comes to CP than I am now, so it is just a guess.
  21. ^Lost Continent is gone?! I know it has lost some of its size due to Potter, but if P's Fury and Mythos are gone I'm going to cry.
  22. I had a woman ask me why Busch Gardens didn't put a "You Are Here" marker on the park map. The paper map that, you know, kind of moves with you as stroll along. I just said "I'll suggest that idea to management."
  23. I did, too. They wanted me to miss a whole semester of college. I wasn't going to do that. It worked out.
