You would be suprised how long it takes for off season rehab. The park up north sometimes has trouble getting the rides ready by opening day. You realize they take all the cars/trains apart of every ride, right?

Silver Dollar City 2013 Coaster

That looks crazy. -
Other rumors for why Avalanche Run was enclosed are: 1. Dick and the gang took a trip to Disney. Dick fell in love with Space Mountain and told the crew to get to work for Cedar Point's own version. Disaster Transport was born. 2. Judy, Dick's wife, complained that the ride was too loud for being right next to their house. I think number one is the most likely.

I think Terpy has had trouble renewing from Kings Dominion. If I remember right. He beat me to it.

I seriously can't wait for this announcement. -
My all time favorite song ever is Jack and Diane by John Melloncamp. I don't really have a favorite band. My favorite artist to look at, however, is Carrie Underwood.

They are rumored to be over the head restraints, not over the shoulder. Think WindSeeker. -
Disaster Transport Memories

I'm not sad to see it go, but I am sad that a rare coaster type is lessoned by one. Just as I was sad when Big Bad Wolf, and Wildcat (CP) was taken down. We just don't see rides like these anymore. I wish they would move the ride to Michigan's Adventure and keep it outside so it could live on. -
Nothing SOB related, but the Neon Kings Island sign above the stage in the Festhaus is something I have wanted for a long time. It is beautiful, and would look great in a man cave. http://www.fansofkientertainment.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/british.jpg

I've never really been a fan of Millennium. The first drop is good, but after that it is a snoozer. And for you people saying I-305 and Maverick need there own shows, why not have a "Crazy Intense Coaster" show with those two and SkyRush and see who wins there.

The same thing happened to me! I bought two meals at the buffet place by Diamondback and the receipts didn't say anything about fun perks. When I got home, I had not advanced at all.

Oh I understand that, Mr. Terpy. Just not very many of them on KI's Facebook page.

If I was Don, I would have lost hope for humanity a long time ago. People are just stupid.

What kind of coaster should replace Son of Beast?
TTD-120-420 replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
I really do not see why you guys are so fascinated with floorless coasters. I've been on three and they really don't add anything to a regular coaster. As for me, I believe the go carts will make way for a stage that will be home to a Luminosity type show. I think a B&M Giga will, unfortunately, replace SOB. I, however, think a Gravity Group would fit perfectly back there and, if done right, could add a top 5 wooden coaster to Kings Island. The park has the terrain back there to really do some special and remarkable things. -
Kings Island selling "Beast Backstage Tours" for $25
TTD-120-420 replied to McSalsa's topic in Kings Island
Yeah, I don't like how they just handed them out to random people on Twitter asking about them and then decided they could get money for it. Oh well, I guess it was like a soft opening. -
I did a happy dance when I saw this pop up on my phone earlier today. Kind of an odd day to just spring this on us, though. I am very happy and cannot wait to see what comes in the future.

The comment on KI's blog about Beast Tours is mind blowing.

Oh no, not beyond.

I like the way you think, standbyme.

I'll admit something stupid I said when I was younger. I was probably ten when I first joined PointBuzz. I read a lot of topics about Magnum and its "ejector seat." Little did I know that it was called that because of the airtime it provided. I told my friends Magnum actually had an ejector seat with a parachute in case of emergencies. haha

Luminosity's construction continued after Wildcat was cleared by the state, and as it continued they realized that the space was too small. I remember reading somewhere that Ouimet said he did not like the old looking coaster right across from the new stage and that the area looked cramp, thus taking it out. There was not structural damage to it.

What did the Screamscape link take you to? I got taken to the Disney page.

Lost Continent area of Islands of Adventure.

^^^Caleb, it was probably the opening day visit. They never added that one for me either.
