You guys really think Funperks made that much of a difference? It is only in one park, has only been available for a relatively short time, and was in testing phase for a long time. Just for clarification, I'm not saying you guys are wrong. I have no idea. It was more of a serious question because I didn't even think of Funperks as that big of a factor.

Uh, yes they do. Many of them are happy to talk with you if they aren't busy. We have talked to Ouimet before, and Dick many years ago. They most likely won't tell you the fate of a multi-million dollar ride, but they do talk to anybody who wants to talk. Hell, Ouimet pretty much confirmed what the Sandusky Register reported to us the day the news for Cedar Point's new ride was leaked. Rob Decker and he talked to us for a good five minutes about it. They do talk.

I have a real train question. Why does Dollywood's train give off huge plumes of smoke, but KI's and others do not? What is the difference between the trains? Dollywood's train was awesome.

I doubt it was due to wind. WindSeeker was open all day and that goes down if someone sneezes nearby.

I love how smooth the bottom of the new wave pool is.

I take naps on the train almost every visit.

Cedar Point's will be released during Coastermania. I think KI will wait until the week before Haunt starts.

It was painted when Diamondback was built. I think KI will announce the demise of SOB, and start to take it down over the offseason. 2014 will add a new coaster in that area.

So sad.

It looks bad when a park has no trees. It takes away from the scenery. I've been to a fair amount of parks that don't have surrounding trees and they all looked pretty tacky. Cedar Point (Outside of the Frontier Trail, even which has been dwindling in the tree department.).

I came to that as well. There is a lot of downtime this year. Edit: Not all day, but everytime we walked by no one was there. I'm not saying they were never there, I'm just saying it didn't seem like a big priority to get it open.

I was about to say the same thing. On the 4th of July, we ran over to Drop Tower when the park opened. We saw it do one cycle and then were told it was closing. It was down the rest of the day, and nobody was working on it at any part of the day. I understand a ride closing, but when maintanance doesn't even try fixing it all day, it is kind of sad.

Coasterfanatic and I used our VIP passes that we won on twitter over the 4th of July. We sat on the front row of Diamondback for probably three straight rides, and a 9 year old kid asked how we got to stay on the front. Our tour guide said that we were the park's VIPs. The kid responded by asking us if we were friends with Justin Timberlake. Apparently JT's friends are VIPs in that kid's mind. It made us laugh the whole ride.
