The striped shirt vendor people work for a company outside the park. Jay Vending I believe is what they are called.

You can do what Pat said or just tell your folks to get with the times.

I think alot of the not aging well thing has to do with maintenance and lets face it, Six Flags isn't the best when it comes to that.

I'm going with no coaster. I'm hoping for that HB expansion!

Why does the idea of gas lights in Clifton, of all places, sound like a bad idea? For those not familar, Clifton isn't actually the best neighborhood in Cincy.

Just found me a new background pic for my desktop. That's freaking awesome Aaron!

If I'm not mistaken, they don't have an official website. Sorry!

Hey man! I used to work at CI! Got beef?!

FastTracks has been down for awhile now but I'm closing this because of grammatical errors that could easily be fixed with a period and a few commas.

Wow. They all look nice. Only thing I can think of is not wanting to wear the black shirts in the summer time.

It's all about classes and finding a job elsewhere for the time being. With plenty of get togethers with my crew and AZ peeps in between. Nice thread ItalianChef!

Learn to Fly by the Foo Fighters is played in AZ...Anyone else?

You sent them an email? Ugh... Weren't the several pictures and the several member replies evidence enough for you?

Your wrong. Read my post above.

That pic is just fine. The trains did indeed have a fireball look and go from red to yellow. They also had four rows of seats for each car. Also, the restraint was a simple lap bar for both people.(Think Beastie)

Everyone has pretty much answered his question...Closing

I'm no mechanic but I'd be willing to bet those bolts are inspected every couple months. It's really quite simple how they are inspected. The mechanics just get on top of the "claw", not the ring of seats, and ride it up and down the tower at a much slower speed than normal.

I know they did the repelling at FoF every year but I was not aware of the one they did on DZ. I'll take your word for it!

OK, the Drop Zone thread above had me thinking. Now CYoung mentioned in that post that PKD's DZ has its machine room at the bottom instead of the top like KI's DZ. I really don't see how this could be for several reasons. First, where would the cables spool at at the bottom? Second, where do you put the motors to raise and lower the "catch car"? Now one could simply answer this by saying underground but I don't see how this could be. Think about it, you still have a good length of tower that extends below ground so the mentioned items couldn't go directly below the above ground portion of the tower. I believe that PKD's machine room lies at the top of the tower just like PKI's. A quick comparison of the ring of seats on each model will show you that PKD's APPEARS to be much lighter than PKI's version. Ok, so now your saying "But PKD's has 56 seats and PKI's has 40 seats making PKD's heavier. That doesn't make sense." Ah but it does. If you notice, KDs version has almost a spoke-like design. Therefore, having less metal. A look at KIs will show you that there is a greater amount of metal supporting the ring of seats. Meaning, more weight for the catch car to raise. Also, KIs is designed to spin on the way up, KDs is not. Since there is no spinning there is less weight. How so? Well obviously you need motors and wheels to spin the thing so if those aren't there, less weight. Now I'm not an Intamin engineer but after operating DZ for four years I've learned a few things about the mechanics of the ride just by simple observation. I could be wrong and KDs machine room could very well lie at the bottom. Or I could be right. Either way, go ahead and add your two cents if you like.

You sure about that one? The elevator is SOLEY used for maintenance to get to the top of the tower.
-
Funny story about how those steps came to be. Remind me to fill you in sometime Barnyard.

Sorry no online purchasing of PKI merchandise is available. Ebay has some cool things though sometimes. Sorry!

A 410 foot Intamin Gyro Drop? Better find a new way to lift that ring of seats.

FearFest's first year of operation did have a haunted attraction up on the high level of the Eiffel Tower. The name ecscapes me right now but it was the best attraction they had that season IMHO. If I'm not mistaken, it was themed after a insane asylum that was overrun by the crazy inmates. It was really cool being that high up and getting the crap scared out of you. It only lasted one season however. A logical guess would conclude that it didn't come back due to capacity reasons.

Which coaster is the smoothest and roughtest
AZ Kinda Guy replied to rollercoaster's topic in Kings Island
Rode Reptar lately? By no means is it painfully rough but it isn't exactly glass smooth either.
