Which coaster is the smoothest and roughtest
AZ Kinda Guy replied to rollercoaster's topic in Kings Island
Drew, I mean BoobKinos be sarcastic? Never! -
Since we are giving SOB reports I'll go ahead and throw mine in. I rode with a fellow co-worker of mine after our shift on the 5th and I'm pleased to report I had a better than average ride. The first drop and loop are still what bring me back to the ride. My lap bar stayed put until we went into the second helix but my buddy wasn't so fortunate. His came down right at the bottom of the first helix. Sorry CP Ok, is it just me or does your back itch after you slam into the brakes? The only thing I can think of causing this would be the vibration of the car with your back leaning up against it. Anywho, the ride ran great and it showed what it's really meant to do.

New Kings Island park 500,000 gallons short
AZ Kinda Guy replied to SML828's topic in Coming Attractions
Since the "problem" was remedied(sp?), I guess there is no longer a need for this thread. -
Freaking hilairious. Brings me back to my Sams Club days. I can't remember how many times I witnessed customers try to fit a humungous treadmill into the back of a Geo Metro.

Ok so you claim the lettters on the marquee were red before 93 and blue afterwards. Ok, thanks for the info...Closing

Paramount's King's Island lost it's sign!
AZ Kinda Guy replied to DragonLord's topic in Kings Island
Ok maybe I'm in the minority here but it's just a sign. Don't get me wrong it's awesome the thing stood for 32 years but these type of things don't last forever. Frankly, I'm surprised they just replaced the marquee over the offseason. Ecspecially with the unveiling of the new logo. Oh well. Good thing they didn't I guess. -
Which coaster is the smoothest and roughtest

HA! I agree sobgun. Congo can get really rough. Although the water tends to be smoother in the evening.Compared to the rougher water in the morning. I guess that explains why nobody test rides in the morning.... SOB is a slice of heaven. Gotta love all that trackwork! -
SOB sways all the time. Wait in line for the front seat and watch it go around that last helix. As for the high wind issue...Without a storm the winds in the park don't usually go past 30 on a windy day and SOB can operate in that. Anything higher than that tends to have some lightning and rain with it. Which, of course, closes the rides down anyways.

Like someone mentioned earlier, Pride Night is one of my favorite days to work. The guests are the nicest people you will meet all season and your line is usually clean at the end of the night. I will be working tonight and if your going be sure to take a sweater. Its gonna be a cold one tonight!

The future of H-B Land and its MIA characters.
AZ Kinda Guy replied to italianchef's topic in Kings Island
BTW, those "red buildings" are still next to The Racer. They haven't gone anyhwere... Now stop by this weekend and if you look, you will notice something is missing. -
Uhmm if your referring to my ride(Delirium) then don't expect nothing out of the ordinary. Tom, Thanks for the props but I wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for my co-sups and our crew. They deserve all the props in the world. I don't think they will ever know how much we, the supervisors, appreciate their hard work. I have the utmost respect for each and every one of them. I'm not looking forward to that first weekend in November. It will be a tough one, that's for sure....Ok here's where I rant... You see folks, when you work with these people for forty to fifty hours a week you bond with them like nothing you have experienced. The sups become your "mom and dad" of sorts and with your fellow crew members being your siblings. Now not everyone will stay and sibilings to tend to disagree from time to time but in the end, it's that core group of people who will make it. Sadly, your "family" gets ripped apart that last weekend of November. So those complete strangers that I met on March 22(?) are now some of my closest friends. I don't keep coming back to work at Kings Island just because the park enstills their trust on me to safely operate a multi-million dollar machine. I come back season after season to continue the friendships I have made in the past and start new ones with those complete strangers that I will meet every March.

I'd be even more willing to say that this is a way to get some more people in the park to get in park spending up.

Aaron is awesome but all these Aaron love threads did in the past was cause pointless bickering. Closing...

Had the oppurtunity to ride Robocoaster today. Took ride option 5 and I must say, it was GREAT. Ok, I'm weird but I actually liked the techno music they had playing around the ride. I think music adds greatly to a ride. Anywho, a great ride to bad it was temporary. Now only if Delirium homed as quick as that thing does.

Hypothetical PKI presence all year around
AZ Kinda Guy replied to italianchef's topic in Kings Island
Sounds fun but is it financially feasible? No. -
For as long as I can remember(I'm only 20), Beastie has never went around the circuit twice. Now Top Cats Taxi Jam on the other hand, has gone around twice for as long as I can remember. Maybe you are thinking of Scooby Zoom? Which is the old name of Top Cats Taxi Jam.

What kinda makes me wonder is why didn't the city see this coming? Not neccesarily the Waterpark growth but just general growth of the whole city. Throw PKI into that mix and you have a heck of alot of water being used. Like I said though, why didn't they(city of Mason) see the growth of the area coming? -
Need I answer? Ok ok...If you don't know me personally, check out my signature.

Why don't we PKIUnlimited Folks meet at PKI soon?
AZ Kinda Guy replied to italianchef's topic in Kings Island
Ok, I'm all for promoting this site and all but some people are flat out weird. Now MOST of the people I have met off of here seem to be normal but some aren't. Think I'm the only on this site who feels this way? Think again. However, I would be happy to meet you guys. -
That was NOT me but they did get a close up of my co-supervisor Sarah. I was there but only in the early morning when the GP wasn't there. It was great to see you on there Todd. Alan did a really nice job too. Nice to see PKI represented by some intelligent people.

Crap. Pure crap.

Beastfreak hit it right on the head. Not much they can do until power is restored. From a rides POV, I can tell you that the rides would be evacuated just like they normally are. Nothing out of the ordinary.
