  1. The 99 and 00 expansions had a budget of 40 million. SOB's final cost has never been released to my knowledge. Has for a yearly budget, I'm sure it fluctuates year to year but I think it's safe to say nobody on this site knows what it may be. It's safe to say though; the more people that come through the gates, the bigger the budget in the coming years.
  2. On the clock, my crew members keep their shirts tucked in, nametags on, ETC. Off the clock, they are on their time, not mine. Nor are they on yours DragonLord so worry about something else. However, I do agree with you that they should keep their shirts tucked in, ETC, but like I said, I, as a supervisor, have no control over that and nor do you.
  3. Ya know Boobkinos, I don't ever recall SOB valleying either but make that drop right after the lift any steeper, than we've got some problems.
  4. SOB did not valley on August 4th.
  5. Don't like how we run things? Go elsewhere.
  6. I didn't realize it was broke. Heck, it ran fine today. Show me a 15 year old multi-looping Arrow without some roughness then I can tell you what they can do to "fix" it.
  7. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. They just did some routine track work. Sobrider is just getting a little too excited about it. Don't get me wrong though. The wood coaster maintance personnel work their butts off to keep that thing rideable but what they did is nothing to get overly excited about.
  8. Aaron has a point. If it's still running like this mid August, then you have a reason to be overly excited.
  9. There was nothing ever wrong with SOB. It's a 218 foot wood coaster. What do you expect?
  10. It's also worth nothing there Flyer06 that the Delirium/SlingShot crew has the most in the entire park as of 7-26. darn we rock.
  11. In refrence to the first post; nothing out of the ordinary here people.
  12. 1. No. It uses magnetic brakes. 2. Well, this is a very broad question but bascially here it is... The ops push their buttons and the "claw" begins to lower and then latches on to the ring of seats. Then, the the claw, with the ring of seats attached, starts the acent up to the tower. Once it reaches the stopping point, the claw then releases the ring of seats dropping it to the final stopping point.
  13. My two cents on Top Gun... First, lets get something straight. Ride Operators were NOT, I repeat, NOT involved last year. Ok now to the ride. Top Gun is a nice speedy coaster with great pacing and hardly any downtime. Sure the ride is far back there but I think it adds to the ride nicely. Quit whining and take the hike to the station. However, I think that is maybe the only thing that hurts it. First time visitors don't even know it exsists. I can't count the number of times I've had someone point to it on a park map and ask me "Whats that and where is it?" As for there being no line... The ride constantly runs two trains and the operators have the loading process down. Don't expect walk on conditions however on a 35,000 guests day.
  14. Think about it...METAL covered with WATER for 13 hours every day for three months. What do you think is going to start happening to this metal? Oh and Boobkinos is right, there is no animation in the first tunnel and the second tunnel spear worked last time I rode which was about a week ago.
  15. So if they changed the name of the coaster to "Non-Racing White Woody" you'd quit your nagging?
  16. Speaking as an employee on the SlingShot crew, the more people see it run, the more people want to ride it. As for the extra cost to them, if it bothers you then don't ride it.
  17. The daily ones are shot off caty corner from FoF. The little field from which they are fired is visible from the Eiffel Tower.
  18. Thursdays for us. Big black guy the umpire? If so, ask him about the "blinding sight" at Water Sentry class. Frickin hillairious.
  19. I'm on the Double Deez roster but have yet to play in a game. Sarah, my co-supervisor, has been representing the Delirium crew quite well though.
  20. Has long as your not stalking the guy, and it's all in good fun, then I guess he has no reason to be scared. Maybe it was that candid shot at Top Gun that did it in? As for the pin, I hope your not serious. You have pictures of me? Now I'm worried.
  21. First a flat out scary, not to mention stalkerish, web page of Mr.Siebert and now a video game? Geesh people.
  22. I rode it today and loved the little "change" they put in there.
  23. Call me crazy but not once have I gotten off Vortex and heard the GP complain of it being rough. Something we all have to remember is this ride debuted in 1987. The computer technology wasn't has advanced as it is now. I think we are all now spoiled by the "computer age" coasters. Now I'm not saying Vortex wasn't deisgned without the help of computers. It's just the technology we had back then was no where as near as advanced as it is today. Vortex has, and always will have, the "awe factor." Meaning, how it's placed, people sit there and gawk at it forever.
