KD Tailgate 4/1
Diamondback FOF replied to DaveStroem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
First off, the way I read it on KD Fansite, the a portion of the parking lot will be in the "general area." Also, I'm not sure if you can sleep in your car. I'm trying to get clarification on a couple things. http://kdfansite.com...er=asc&start=45 Does this mean the voucher will get you into the tailgate only, will you be able to stay after the tailgate? It's not clear if you'll HAVE to get your pass processed before the official park opening. http://kdfansite.com...er=asc&start=60 As stated earlier, the pass processing center will be open for a short time. But, I don't know if to take this as you HAVE to get your pass processed before "officially" being in the park (after the tailgate is earlier). http://kdfansite.com...er=asc&start=60 http://kdfansite.com...er=asc&start=75 Just a heads up Edit: I just asked the following questions. If you need any more asked/answered, just let me know -
KD Tailgate 4/1

From DaveStorem's above post: Since you get a number, I would assume you would not lose your place in line if you run to your car. I'll ask Clint for you, though. -
You say look at how heavy those rails are. But, remember, wooden coasters' trakcs have 8+ layers of wood, and then the flat steel on top. This appears to be the same conept (wood compressed together with steel rails), but it is just constructed differently. I'm sure it would way more, but when you think about how much weight there truly is, I'm sure it is a very small increase in terms of a ratio (it's like going from 50 pounds a quare foot to 60 pounds a quare foot; yes, and increase, but a small one compared to what is already there*) *not actual weights for the track.

That's what it was called when it was Nick Universe.... Oh, I did not realize that, as I haven't really looked around NU in a very long time. Seriously though? It couldn't have been called something different a while ago? Or Cedar Fair couldn't rename it while doing this transformation? At least the name is descriptive

Do remember, the new website design may not become active for several weeks, or even months. We may know the fate of SOB before then.

I think I had already posted that. This is my favorite shop name. It is...uhhhh....amuzing, to say the least I really like that idea. I like it more than "The fun and only."

^^Just ask it to the representative everyday. Edit: I agree, it isn't too bad.

It is not the station for what is formerly Rugrats Runaway Reptar, in my opinion. I don't remember or think the station would have a tiled floor, there appears to be vents on the floor in the background, and the supports don't look like station supports. I don't see track, but possibly a support, in the store. It appears to be a part of a disassembled flat ride in the background (it reminds me of an arm from Scrambler, but it isn't). It could be in the store because it is a nice open, spacious area, covered from the elements, and the rides are taken apart anyways, so it wasn't too much of a hastle to move it there. -
T?he website will be coming in the future. But, since it said: "YES! We are working on it right now actually and have been for some time. We are still in the design stage and I'd love to have your help." I took that as it will be a while before it is ready, since they are only in the design stage, and would still want suggestions. I'm thinking that if KI is still owned by CF, the new website will be a gift for next offseason.

^^I really don't know if you're asking me if your answer is correct. It appears to be inside of a building. Also, the guy is painting ride parts in there, in case you thought he was just mixing paint where he is! -
Just to see which and/or both answer you give us . Also, Gibson, please don't tell me you've never said, "No offense, but..." and said something that someone could/should take offense to.

Will Intimidator 305 open on time?
Diamondback FOF replied to DaveStroem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just a suggestion, but you should make this a poll, in my opinion. That is honestly what I was expecting before I opened and started reading the thread. -
Are you talking about Jackson or the guy I quoted? I think I know (both answers!)

Does that place look familiar to any of you? -
I was reading questions for tomorrow's 5@5, and I like the following:

...and stated months ago. But, I don't expect you to know and/or remember that since it was a long time ago and things get lost easily in this thread.

Someone ask how "The Fun and Only" made it as the slogan for KI this year Also, ask if they could ever do like a fan contest or something of the sort to come up with ride names and slogans (I don't have a Facebook, so I can't). Thanks in advance if you can! Who is "me"? Don Helbig? And just so there are no complaints, this entry can be found here.
-
I'm sure KI is reading at least some of this, and since I can't say it on Facebook, I'll say it here: Thank you to whoever is at KI and is taking the time to do this everyday! I think it is cool you are taking time out of your day, including Saturday and Sunday, to answer these questions, even if we don't like some of the question and/or answers! Thank you!

Ok. So I'm not toally crazy in thinking I saw something of the sort! That seems like a huge change to make in the middle of the season: waffle and beer to....BBQ? I would think totally different equipment and such would be needed.
