The temperatures don't matter too much, as neither day is supposed to be too hot So I will probably wait until Monday to go, if it works for everyone, and if I'm allowed And I won't be going to Sticker's...Thanks Terpy!!

Soooo...based on the forcast for the rest of this holliday weekend, would you suggest a trip to KI tomorrow or Monday?

Responsibility in Information Posting
Diamondback FOF replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Just to clairify - rumors are certainly ok. If you look at the rumors section, there's all sorts of crazy stuff there. The thing that we can not allow is when people state things as fact. As in, "I talked to a park official and they told me that they were going to remove The Vortex next season." No, you didn't. Things like that are what the local media reads and calls the park about, which is a problem in itself. People come, people go. It's part of the business. Any "loyal" member from years ago that disappeared have dropped off. You'll find that the vast majority of the people who disappear go away for one or more of the following reasons: 1 - They were an employee of the park and no longer are so their interest diminished, 2 - They get involved in a serious relationship and/or start a family so they don't have the time to think about or do Kings Island stuff like they used to, 3 - They go to, or graduate college, 4 - They spend so much time at KI and on KIC that they ultimately just get burnt out. That, at least, is what our research has shown. Sure, there are a few who disappear because they don't like one thing or another about the site, but that's just a small percentage. To address that first part: So, let's say I knew back in March about WindSeeker being new for next year. Rather than starting a thread saying "I talked to a park official and blah blah blah" and making it sound as fact, could I start a topic saying it'd be cool for KI to get a 300 foot swing set for 2011? Or something to that effect (better than that simple statement I said) so the info is stated, but not stated as fact? Because I don't see how that could be done because don't you have to state a source. (I think I just made this more confusing than needed...) I disappeared for a really long time due to a few reasons: 1. School. Plain and simple my schoolwork load increased and I didn't have much free time. 2. I did get slightly burnt out, and found this site less interesting. 3. This summer my life was busier between athletics, some schoolwork, relaxing, etc, and some of the extra time I did have I just didn't want to spend it on here. -
I REALLY want to do this...but i dont know if i really want to pay $40 for it But I guess it'd be good to do before cross country starts...maybe...

Or what was Reptar, Fairly Odd Coaster, Little Bills, and Avatar.

Backlot Stunt Coaster Trains Being Stripped of Their Theming
Diamondback FOF replied to DBru's topic in Kings Island
What licensing would affect the use of the doors? I don't see a need to remove them...Also remember, this is at KD, which may or may not mean the same will happen at KI. -
Less than one million dollars to install solar panels for the park, to produce all of its electricity needs? That seems waaaaaaayyy too cheap. The park uses a ton of electricity.

Yea! Someone should ask if the Kings Island Insider was a joke, or if is for real no longer going to be updated. Edit: Answers posted for today!

I'm thinking Kings Island Insider is done because there will be a blog contained within the new website.

If you're gonna get your pass procesed onthe 23rd, then you might as well head into KI for a couple hours and have fun I would certainly go in too, the problem is, I don't know if I show up the 23rd at 8 or 9 if the processing center will even be open or not. Can anyone confirm; will the processing center be open until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23rd? Try calling the park on Monday: 513-754-5700 (guest relations) I would just call KI and ask. If they say your friend can't do an upgrade at KI, then just have them call CP and do the upgrade over the phone (I would think they could do that)

It is going to Boo Blasters on Boo Hill Edit: At first I thought his comment said different than Scooby, not better than.

So you're saying you think this is a joke? But the 5@5 message was two days ago, not on April Fool's Day, although my first and current thought was/is it is a joke.
-
Maybe the PR department is being axed? I really hope not! It makes me sad the 5@5 is no longer available (as of now). I hope it was a joke. As for the blog, I really didn't read it often (but some), so it isn't as big of a deal. I could see a blog being on the new website.

For pass processing: last year, my family renewed our passes when they were on sale, so we just bought the renewal. Then, we were told we were set and and didn't have to do pictures or anything. Does anyone know if this is true (like you renewed last year and went to Carowinds or something)?

He never said. I think he avoided that part. Actually, it is 5:30-7:30: Is is a daily option, and it is what it sounds like: a BBQ: You've got your chicken, hot dogs, pork, potato salad, fruit, and treats, all nice BBQ items! But, what is different on this menu from last year? ^Also, I could see a lunch option being added if it is profitable, which it likely is since it's returning. Finally, http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=381001606948 I wonder why? Too much complaining and unneccessary comments about Boo Blasters on Boo Hill? I really hope this is an early April Fools joke...

I just don't have a Facebook account. Thanks

Terpy made me think of this. Can someone ask if the Backyard BBQ will be later in the day? Last year it was 3:00-4:30 (I think). That was just too early for me to eat dinner, and too late for lunch.

I was thinking this was a poll about our very own Shaggy member and some new guy...

How Much Would It Cost?
Diamondback FOF replied to Sergeant Pepper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Is Soak City separate admission from Cedar Point's dry park? If so, I could definitely see a Platinum pass being cheaper than four separate admission tickets. -
I found my original post with all of the gold/platinum pass perks: click here Also, thanks for asking this Jackson!
