I went to my high school's (sycamore) production of Phantom on April 16, which was also Cappies night. It was nothing less that AMAZING! I cannot believe high schoolers can sing like that, and the music coming from the pit sounds soooo professional!! I was extremely impressed!

I would normally think it'd be no problem getting it open on time. However, we are supposed to have rain everyday until next Thursday morning...

You're assuming that HUSS did in fact make that recommendation or that the story is correct. There's a lot of people taking liberty with information in this topic and frankly, a lot of it is incorrect. Yes sir, I was going with the "what-ifs" and Huss making a particular recommendation...

If Ohio law requires ALL amusement park rides to follow manufacturer recommendations, wouldn't the recommended brakes have been installed to comply with the law? Edit: And honestly, I was thinking the nine flip cycle was the original

^^Concrete has lines in it too...and the old concrete could've been messed up so it had to be replaced... However, it does appear the new whatever it is (sand? concrete?) sits below the surrounding concrete. That is the only reason I would possibly go with this being sand

Ok I had that as an idea....but wanted to see if there was anything else Do you know if anything happened to the investigator? And I've heard of other cases like this. A local group (maybe UC law students?) sometimes helps prove "criminals'" innocence by showing mistakes made in the case....or finding new DNA that wasn't tested before.

Wow, so I just read this thread (as I wasn't around when it was started and was just recently bumped)...what a tragic event this was, and continues to be! I can only hope she can eventually make a full recovery, or nearly one with very few limitations in her very long life ahead So his DNA was collected due to being convicted of a felony (and in other states it is as soon as being arrested). But why? For some things this makes sense, but not all.

From the looks of that, I'm not sure how that could function as en elevator. And as others have said, it looks like the thing that is supposed to be on top. I feel like that would put a LOT of wear and tare on the ride....maybe not?

Well, since Terpy may not be around right now... Yes, someone thought of that potential Actually, I myself have thought of that. A couple of the pictures appear to have a small motor type thing that could aid in running a small elevator and some of the pieces look to have been designed for a small elevator (like it appeared there was square framing inside the tower pieces). However, there weren't good pictures of these things and so it was only little bits of the insides or whatever....I hope this makes sense. It would make sense they would HAVE to wear harnesses...
