Holed up in Festhaus now hoping lightning stops soon and I can go on something. I haven't been on any rides except 1 water slide and the splash river today
-
I didn't wait to find out for sure if it was 90 minutes, but the line was almost back to the bottom of the steps. I got down the steps and went "wow! That's a really long line!!" And we decided not to wait. It was the longest I had seen it all season.
-
On an unrelated note White Water Canyon has a 90 minute wait today!!! Yikes!!! That's the longest I have seen it all season. On a related note, Banshee is looking AWESOME!!!! I'm amazed how much progress has been made in one week. I don't get to pay much attention to this thread (or any part of the forum) now that I'm working full time, so my visit today has given me more of an update on construction than I've gotten on here

Not to jump on you, but it's actually "You have disturbed the forbidden temple. Now you will pay!" You can hear the final tunnel audio track over on KIExtreme. Ah! I did not know that. (clearly lol) Nice! Thanks for the correction all these years I thought it was "entered" lol thanks for the link, I will have to check that out later

AE words are "you have entered the forbidden temple. Now you will pay!" Excellent trip report. I love the Drop Tower spiel lol the Diamonback ones are all so old and annoying now lol Awesome pics! I can't wait to go today and take pics

Sweet. Thanks!

I won't do Racer anymore. It beats up my legs too much. The lap bar leaves too much of a gap so I get forced up off my butt going up the big hills and my legs have a very painful hard meeting with the lap bar.

Do tell. I'm going September 27th and 28th and want to ride it again
-
I seriously can't wait until Saturday to see the progress that has been made!
-
That would be a nice Christmas gift.... Merry Christmas!!! Here is a look at the newly built Banshee!!!
-
No way they will be done by November with the whole thing.

I can't tell from the picture but are there new supports up by the transfer/storage area? To the right of the yellow crane but to the left of the staging platform. Is that new? I don't have my camera on me to consult the pics I took over the weekend to be able to tell. I would circle it but I'm on my phone on the way to work so I don't have the means to point out what I'm talking about.

It does look like a new truck load of track! Can anyone confirm this?? I'm going to KI on Saturday as its my only day to go. I work Friday and going to Riverfest on Sunday

thanks

I figured you weren't serious but too tired to start assuming the logic in things LOL
-
I doubt that....

I'm a single rider many times when I go bc my fiancé is too large for most coasters and afraid of heights lol so I would be happy to be your ride buddy sometimes if you want
-
Just found out I got approved for time off work to go to Cedar Point next month!!!! I'm so excited!!!!
-
I just realized I was tall enough to go on King Cobra, but having not visited the park in many years I never rode it. I was in my mid teens then lol
-
I never noticed, bc I really don't remember the ride. I was never tall enough to ride it so I guess I don't remember it.

Well my complaint with the restraint is just due to the fact that they end up hurting me lol I don't typically have issues with restraints. All I know is today my back is hurting extremely bad and I really think its because I got so beat up on The Racer yesterday. I don't know. All I do know is I got beat up and have no intention of riding it again this season. In all honesty with my back I probably shouldn't ride roller coasters at all but I love them too much to stay away, so I choose to ride them at my own risk. If they end up hurting my back more, well, that's my fault and I have to live with the pain lol. Usually they don't make my back hurt worse though
-
I wouldn't mind restraint work either. The way they click down seems more geared towards larger guests than smaller guests. I'm 5'3 and about 103 pounds. I need something that will click me in more secure lol
-
A problem I don't have to worry about my problem with some roller coasters is I'm so small the restraint either has to be a little loose or I have to pin myself in. I decided yesterday I'm done riding Racer indefinitely. The lap bar leaves several inches of space between the restraint and my legs when it is down all the way, so I am forced up out of my seat and my legs take a very painful beating on the lap bar. It's just gotten to be too painful of a ride for me.With Delirium and Invertigo I usually end up having to scoot farther back in the seat than one is meant to be in order to get the restraint to fit snug on me, vs leaving a gap Neither one has led to a painful unemployable ride though I'm really hoping Banshee's restraints will fit me snugly without me having to scoot extra far back lol. I hear ya! Do you find yourself holding yourself into the back of the seat on Firehawk? It's work for small people to ride, sometimes. Sometimes. Usually they pin me into that one, though. Invertigo I have to scoot back to where the seat scoops up to the back most times to get it to click tight and not leave a gap lol. The Beast leaves a gap, but the force is not such that it pulls me up out of my seat and gives my legs a good beating. I personally rank Racer as rougher than The Beast.

I was seated a few times on Chang bc at only 5'3" my feet didn't always touch the floor, particularly if I got on after a really tall person. That made it all the more fun for me
-
On the topic of painful rides, I will say guy or girl you gotta be careful on Delirium and WindSeeker bc of how those seats are designed!!! I'm short and it's tricky to get on and off WindSeeker and I've learned the hard way more than once to be more careful!!! I've seen several guys learn that lesson the same way as well on both rides. Never ever scoot forward lol
