the park is open the 6th and 7th?? i thought this was the final weekend! heck yea, guess i will be able to make it one more time!

i waited 45 for millenium force, 3rd day it was open to the public... didnt use fast pass either... on the othr hand, i was there for TTD on opening day and because of intermittent downtime it was a 6 hour wait, once you were inside the q line! wait tiiems for new attractions vary... we will just have to wait and see!

this really stinks. i love the flyers, and i think everyone on this site does as well.... cant pki see that this is a bad move? i remember when my cousin worked as a PR rep for the park back in the early nineties. she always told us that the eagles were onteh chopping block several years in a row, but public outcry and the long lines kept them alive... i hope diana is right, but if she isnt, do you think there is anything we could do to change corporates mind??? surely Mr. Siebert, who we know loves these sites can see how upset we are about this, perhaps he could do some persuading or something... anything to keep them in our park!

could pki really be thinking about retheming FOF to MTV soundwave? after teh survey, i'm convinced its a deffinte possiblity. From the concept photos, MTV soundwave is clearly FOF... from the Hanger (line area) visible on the right side of the first picture, and the fact that the UFO is in the second.... i like it, i like it a lot!

hey everybody. i was just wondering why there havent been very many PKIC meething days this year? I was really looking forward to meeting some fellow enthusiasts, but unfortunately i coudl not go on opening day, to beastbuzz or the announcement for 05... i was just wondering if tehre was any planning in progress for a possible PKIC day in the near future...

i sure hope the eagles are relocated... it would really stink to think on my next visit to the park i would no longer be able to enjoy one of the best flats ever!

has anyone seeen the plans for the new paramount park in japan? i dont ahve time to search for the link right now but its somewhere on coasterbuzz.com. In cluded in the plans for the park was a replica of the paramount logo. A huge themed mountain, and the stars around it were made by a giant ferris wheel with the hub being the peak of the mountain. Drawing looks really cool, i think it would be awesome to see something like this a PKI, but it would have to include a new area and all, since they would have to obvi0usly build a huge mountain... lol

if this is indeed a "mummyesque" ride, then i'm beting 06 would be the year. i mean Revenge of the Mummy at Univeral was annoucned in may 03, and opened in may 04. thats a full year (and they already had the building from king kong). i hate to say it, but it would be worth the wait if that is the case.... i'lll take a flat next year and a world class experience in 06. guess we'll all just have to wait till thursday!

M@ilman, i was going to make the same coment bout the mini's being made by BMW, but you beat me to it. as for the "premeir", it deffiently looksl ike we will be getting a Premeir coaster themed to the Itailan Job. Not sure i like the themeing too much, but theres not much i can do about it... lol still should be a great ride, and from what i've heard, the mummy is an amazing ride so if its anything like that i can just picture it now. Sudden stops because of cars or armored trucks flying at you, throwing it in reverse to avoid obsticles and awesome burnouts / spinouts the entire time... kinda sounds excting! i hope we have the right idea here, but i'm convicned

300 undeveloped acres is a lot.... lets not forget that. PKI has plenty of room for a new campground on the other side of hte park. i guess we shall just have to wait and see.

i agree. a pass to return any day for the rest of the season is a great deal.... one that is only good on the 29th of august is horrible. 1) because like fof said it would be no mroe than a BAFFD, and 2) because i am most probably going to be in hilton head that week... lol

well, reports lately have been that the Great Wolf Lodge company is lookign to build a major resort/indoor waterpark on the site of the cuurent campground. speculation, or actually i guess its just suggestion has been to move the campground out towards boomerang bay somewhere so those of us regulars at the campground can still enjoy it. i guess we will jus have to wait and see.

call it a hunch but i'm thinking a launched 4d. there was talks about the development of this ride a fe wmonths back, perhaps S&S is taking arrow's X design to the MAXXX! ya know? l (maximum x) or something like that? i'm not counting on seeing it happen, but its just a thought.

she didnt die on the coaster. that is not why it is closed. i havent heard why it is, but that woman died peacefully at her home from what i heard....and it was just worth noteing that she was a coaster enthusiast untill the very end.

i do not think that poster is any indication of what is to come. i have a poster exactly like that one in my room (not as big of course) adn it is from when the movie first came out. the coaster track was on that poster becuase the movie took place in a theme park (PGA) if i'm not mistaken..... hasnt that poster been up for years??? or was the old one for the original beverly hills cop? i can't recall!

correct me if i'm wrong, but REBEL YELL at PKD does have an identical layout and very close dimensions... (within a few inches, feet or MPH) In my opinion, that makes Rebel Yell a clone, if not exact, it is stil very similar. and oh yeah, who said anything about The Racer being removed???

Vortex, i beleive the news letter says "the same size, wtih a bigger marquis" so the marquis will be bigger but the actual sign will be roughly the same size. the newsletter also says it will incorporate the gates to the design... i'm excited!

so i'm assuming that all of the speculation prooved to be false and there was no announcment made? Anymore hints dropped about what may be coming next year? hope everyone had fun, wish i could have made it!
