I've said it before, and I'll say it again: they're tearing out Vortex and putting in an inverted floorless standup wooden giga coaster with the world's only 90 degree overbanked airtime hill inversion. Obviously.

How is this going to be any better? It'll still most likely have to go over the railroad tracks. Unless...

Dollywood 2016 Announcement

That looks like it would make a really good wooden roller coaster. Would. -
I'm sure these will be great additions to the park. Soak City has needed a new slide complex for a long time, and the parking lot booth situation was always a little confusing. However, considering the fact that I don't go to the waterpark and don't buy souvenir cups, these changes mean little to me personally.

Dodgem? Edited to avoid one-word post, then again to insert quote for context.

The folks up at Cedar Point could learn a thing or two from KI's PR department about how to build hype without seeming pretentious, and another few things from Holiday World's PR department about not botching announcements by having the surprise ruined.

Honestly, I think we're being messed with. Firstly, if Racer was going to be removed, I would imagine that we would have been given similar warning to that given to Thunder Road - at least a month of regular season time. Secondly, the wording about "two things" seems intentionally vague. If The Racer was planned to be removed, it would make far more sense to refer to it as "one attraction," as that's exactly what it is. "Two things" could easily refer to the abandoned Skyride footer and the remnant poles from Der Spinning Keggers, and knowing who we're dealing with, it'll probably be something far more inconsequential than the park's (tied for) oldest roller coaster. Thirdly, the fact that the comment about "two things" was directed directly towards this fansite tells me that those who know are probably just having some fun at our expense/drumming up enthusiasm. But then again, maybe not.

Well, clearly, that's going to be the site of the inverted floorless standup giga coaster's second 90 degree overbanked airtime hill inversion. Obviously.

The primary exception to that rule, I've found, is if the older ride is a woodie that still has buzz bars and no seat dividers. But since no coaster at KI fits either of those criteria except (I think) Woodstock Express, that's kind of irrelevant.

It would really only fit in terms of theme. Vortex's location doesn't have the terrain for it. -
The good news: after years of wishing and hoping, a Fantasia-themed ride is coming to a Disney park, The bad news: said ride will be located in Shanghai.

Inside Out might just be the perfect opportunity for that long overdue Journey Into Imagination re-do.

That new color scheme is downright sexy.

Disney Fastpass+ at Walt Disney World

As much as I respect Terpy, the never ending stream of comments praising the superiority of the California resort over the Florida resort is beginning to sound childish. -

It's a test. A test I doubt will be successful. You can't fault the management for trying something, even if it is something this ludicrous. Standby lines are not going away any time soon. -
WDW Hollywood Studios

For the reportedly massive investment that it's likely to be, I have heard absolutely nothing about Avatar Land (or whatever the heck it's called) since January of this year. Fingers crossed plans have changed. -
Here's how I look at it: no, it's not a new credit. Imagine when The Racer had buzz bars and no headrests. Did the two incarnations offer significantly different ride experiences? Yes. But does it justify a new credit? No. If the physical track that the coaster is riding on is the same or essentially the same, it's not a new credit.

Antique Cars? No, I got it - Thunder Alley. Definitely Thunder Alley.
