Latest rumor is that the will have the word Cavalry in it. How about CAVALRY CHARGE. -
With my luck I'd probably get "Thick as a brick" by Jethro Tull. It lasts 43 minutes and I'd probably have to stay the length of it. Haha

I'm sure metal fencing will replace the wood sooner than later. Surprised no one has gotten hurt that we know of.

Ringling Bros. To Close After 146 Years

Friday I drove by the P.T. Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, Ct. Brought back a lot of memories. For anyone who goes to the Big E in West Springfield, Mass, they have an outstanding Circus museum in miniature. I never fail to miss it when I am there and strongly recommend it. -
First of all I feel bad for you. I hope you get a lot of rides in this season. But as far as I'm concerned this all falls on upper level management. Lots of traffic, angry guests, weak customer service and what I call opening day jitters just doesn't help the situation. Yes upper level management owes ALL season pass holders an apology and it should be a public one at that with someone apologizing behind a camera admitting we screwed up. I went on just about all the Facebook pages that has anything to do with Cedar Point and the gripes are there for everyone to read. I'm sure CP management is now well aware of this. They should have some sort of a day later in the season just for SP holders to make it up to you although they probably won't do that. Here I am 600 miles away, guzzling coffee and being angry at CP at 5:30 in the morning and feeling lots of sympathy for those who attended or tried to attend. I talked to some enthusiasts out my way and the way we would have done this would be to get there at noon and tailgated. Bring food, sandwiches, chips dip and beverages to kill the time away instead of being absolutely miserable sitting in traffic. Yes it would be a long wait but chances are you would be at the beginning of the 7:00 pm entry line at the main gate.

VR coming to 9 Six Flags Coasters
firstnline replied to marth555's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
After watching the google chat last night with Jenn McGrath at SFNE, the one thing about the headset that bothers me more than everything else put together believe it or not its the stuped chin strap. Yes the chin strap. I hope Six Flags understands that no two heads are the same size and the time it will take to adjust the chin strap to peoples different size heads will be awful. How can you see what you are doing with that thing on your head. Now the dispatch times will be worse than I originally thought. -

<sigh of relief> I can only imagine how thoroughly these things will be "cleansed" each cycle with that process. If a guest drops and breaks one of these, I wonder whether he/she will be held liable. With my luck the person in front of me probably has pink eye. -

Bingo! Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public. That single issue, I predict, will put a permanent end to this concept after no more than one season. As I read on another board some people get sick after VR simulators. I'm also waiting for the barf bags to be handed out at the exit. -

Dispatch times will be a nightmare for sure no matter what Six Flags says. I will try it once at my home park at SFNE. I'm sure we will get passes at ACE Nor'Easter the first week in April, I'd be surprised if we don't, but there are several things that concern me. First is how many times will the train stop on the lift hill because someones headset or goggle is not secured properly, and at 70 plus miles per hour how many people will take them off during the ride. If they fall off I see lawsuit city coming. LIke I said I will try it and see what happens opening day. -
Cedar Point 2016 Talk

How about a dark ride in STR location. I know the possibility of a dark ride has been mentioned on various forums, but I don't know if the area is large enough to support one. It was a business decision by CP to close STR so I'm sure they have a well planned replacement attraction whatever it is. -
