Guests will be given an RFID wristband when entering the park that will be used to make waterslide reservations, trigger special effects (MagiQuest inspired?), and activate interactive water features to spray other park guests.

Loose article policies are enforced by keeping items out of the line if they can't be accommodated on the ride or ride platform. Lockers provide a service to people who bring such items into the park and can't leave them with a non-rider. From a guest relations perspective, I see the souvenir cup issue as the biggest problem. For guests without other loose articles, the total cost of using one can end up higher than they're expecting.

Just a bit of backstory: Brad, Robbie & I wrote this post together in the first (in a long time) moderator meeting yesterday. I locked it with the idea of having a brief reminder to send when posts need to be removed, but having an open discussion here is probably a better idea. As a community-driven site, the actions of all members reflect on KIC as a whole. As moderators, we owe it to our members to protect the community's reputation. When inaccurate or exaggerated information is posted by community members, it hurts our reputation as a whole. This is why we've asked everyone to be careful in this regard, and it's why we're making a special effort to correct or remove such content. Thanks much for the support, Ryan! Being a moderator on a large site can be stressful, and it's not a glamorous role by any stretch of the imagination. I'm glad to be working as a team to give back to a community that's come to mean a lot to me over the years.

I've ended up riding Boo Blasters a lot this season, and my gun has worked every time. There are reportedly broken guns, but finding one isn't as common as some might suggest.

Definitely excited to have Brad on board as well. Looking forward to great things happening here in the weeks & months to come.

On Closing Day 2014, lines were relatively short throughout the park. Fast Lane (Plus) queues were approximately the same wait as the regular queues. The group from here split up between the queues (since not everyone had Fast Lane) & "raced" each other through to the platform; the regular queue often won. Closing Day 2015 was decidedly more crowded. Fast Lane waits were significantly shorter than those in the regular queues; probably ~15 minutes on most of the major rides. This year is anyone's guess, but (with nice weather in the forecast) I'd expect moderate crowds. It shouldn't compare to the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend, though.

With less than a week left in the season, just wondering if there's any update. I haven't heard back from Dane or Ryan, so I'm not sure if they would like me to play an official role here. This obviously isn't my site, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but (as I said in my previous post) I'm more than willing to lend a hand. Again, thanks for all the kind words from those who have brought up my name. A fair & responsive staff plays a big role in individuals feeling respected as community members, so I am eager for vacanc(ies) to be filled. KIC members have spent countless hours contributing insightful discussion over the years; I hope we do all we can to ensure that the tradition continues.
