^ According to https://www.visitkingsisland.com/plan-a-visit/season-pass-benefits, gold & platinum passholders get in free and can bring up to 6 friends for $2.50 each. Regular passholders do have to pay to be admitted.

Opening Day for the 2014 season was on (Good) Friday, April 18. If I recall correctly, I got to the front gate just after 9:00am, "ERT" started at 11:30am, and I got off Banshee around 2:30pm.

I'll reserve judgement for when I ride, but I'm more glad than ever that I visited that park in the previous management's final year.

If they even considered (let alone selected) fan-submitted ideas, ownership of the chosen name could become a problem. It's much simpler to have people vote between names that they already own. Most companies don't consider product ideas submitted by customers.

^ Some members here have platinum passes with a home park other than Kings Island. Will these passes be eligible if they were renewed by November 5, and (if so) will these passholders need to do anything special to be admitted into the park?

According to jtro223's post earlier in this thread, they stopped scanning passes entirely during last year's event. They do keep track of which passes were renewed in time, and (from what I understand) the park's Gate Central software was updated to display an indicator. Whether admissions lets ineligible passholders through the gate this year is anyone's guess; I wouldn't count on it.

Walking down a midway that overlooks the main parking lot is the most jarring aspect of that ride, especially in contrast to the other areas of the park.

^ Last year, the park stated that guests who renewed a platinum pass at another Cedar Fair park before the deadline were eligible, though such guests were advised that they might have to get their pass checked by Guest Services. Having a copy of your receipt is very helpful if there's ever a problem with your pass; some guests with such issues & no receipt have had to wait while Guest Services calls their home park on the phone.

^ PayPal withdrawals can take 3-5 days to show up in your bank account online statement. Hopefully the parks make it right with affected customers; even temporarily being out $252 could be a major inconvenience for many.

I expect that the incorrect charges will be reversed automatically, since they're aware of the problem. If anyone had a linked bank account overdrawn by such an erroneous charge, make sure to keep documentation of & seek reimbursement for any resulting bank fees.

The toll at each of the three WV turnpike toll booths is $2. You'll only travel through two of them following I-64, so the toll will be $4/way.
