  1. Whataya mean KI's not a thrill park?!

  2. Wow, the track is redder than I thought it was. Its almost like Firehawk. I just asked my brother what he thought of the track. He said it looks "pretty red-ish". No matter what we say about it, most of the GP will think it's red.
  3. Darnit. Why does Cedar Fair keep on having to make all these great business decisions?
  4. I know the height's 167 ft (RCDB), but I don't remember hearing it at the announcement. All I heard was 208 ft elevation change. Maybe I wasn't listening but I still think it should be on the site.
  5. I know right. Sure, they're not technically what makes a ride a great but they're still very interesting to know. I think it was sort of a letdown to be at the announcement for the single-largest investment in park history and they don't even tell us how tall it's going to be. Nor does it even have the height on their website. The only things we know from the website are it's speed, length, and number of inversions. Diamondback's website seemed to have almost every statistic imaginable!... http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/ride/statistics.cfm
  6. If the maintenance team replaced the wheels so that they don't shuffle, YoungStud, along with many others (myself included) WOULD stop complaining. Also, I really don't think YS is complaining just because it's a B&M in this case. I think he's making a legitimate complaint because there is excessive shuffling on Diamondback that should not be. You don't see YS complaining about Nitro and that's a B&M. The reason: It doesn't shuffle!
  7. I'd LOVE to fall asleep every night to the wonderful sounds of roller coasters. But ya know, that's just me...
  8. Well I wasn't alive back then but if I had to guess, what made them so special at the time was... - Crazy airtime - 'Out of control' feeling - And all the same reasons they're special today
  9. One of my questions is why did they take out Greezed Lightnin'? Was it damaged beyond repair or not worth saving? To me It looked like the second best coaster there...
  10. The first drop's going to look sick from the midway.
  11. It means that once the train leaves the station, they don't progessively tighten, or "lock", during the course of the ride.
  12. Yes, Diamondback is still a relatively smooth coaster, but the problem is that it could be much much smoother (particularly in the very back).
  13. And I certainly don't think 11,999 laps on The Racer helps either.
  14. Diamondback really is not smooth like it use to be, particularly in the very back. The shuffling at the bottoms of the first 4 drops is getting very, very, very annoying (Everything after the trim is fine IMO). I can't really enjoy the back anymore, which is why I've switched to 1-2. (Go ride Nitro and tell me Diamondback is the "smoothest coaster you've been on".)
  15. I'd do 3 days at MM, one at Disney, and a half day at Knott's. Sorry FUN.
  16. SCREAM! SCREAM for your expenses paid trip to Magic Mount---- I mean...uh...Knott's Berry Farm.
  17. Why? Becuase YoungStud complimented Six Flags? Why is that considered such a crime on this site?
  18. ^Available for a nominal fee of $2 a pump, $5 for 3 pumps, or $20 for an "exclusive" all year-long pumping pass.
  19. I'm still a little dissapointed the track color does not exactly match up with the renderings...
  20. And the ride experience between Invertigo and Banshee will most likely be worlds apart.
  21. A coaster fit for a Kinzel.
