Documentary concerning Seaworld ("Blackfish")
Dieseltech20 replied to Tanna's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Amazing, it only took two comments on a picture my wife posted of the Orca for the, "I saw this movie the other day" people to show up. -
I really wish Boo Blaster would get a peanuts theme...

I can agree with that as well. -

They have a Great Dane! That was another high point, to me The rescued Turtles brought tears to my eyes. People can be so heartless sometimes. Only downside to the trip was an electrical malfunction at the Ray Encounter meant that I could not feed them. -

These rides can he improved upon. Got a score of 16000 on a similar style "shoot em up" dark ride this week that was half as long. The ability to see "where" the gun is firing, helps greatly. -

We decided to add a third park to our Florida vacation. Our visit to SeaWorld today was by far the most enjoyable of them all. The mix of rides and shows plus all the animal habitats was amazing. The kids never stopped smiling and enjoyed the kiddie area. Manta was my favorite Coaster out of the 14 (sorta) of them that I experienced this week. My love of Rays made the queue a thing of beauty. I then spent nearly an hour petting them before leaving. The Orca show was amazing, such beautiful animals. Those that diss the park without knowing what they do there are nothing more than windbags. The park is filled with rescued animals, from Cats to Manatees. I recommend everyone visit this park at least once in your life. -
For those complaining about perceived roughness/vibrations on the B&Ms at KI. Go to Sea World and ride Kraken sometime. Granted the train I was on was nearly empty, it rattles and shakes like no other I have been on.

After three rides on Manta today, I agree with you 100%. The forces in the Pretzel Loop were great. The combination of floating and being crushed was awesome.

Highly doubtful that I will ever visit Abu Dhabi.

AE isn't going anywhere. Plenty of people still ride it and the responses I normally hear after a ride are mainly positive, especially with the younger crowd.

One day, Terp, one day.

While I like them all, the faster they are, the better. I also like em with a hint a Wild. After our trip tomorrow I will have experienced every style of B&M, sans Stand Up and the only Giga. While leaving me wanting more, I really enjoy the Dive Coaster.

I believe that if the park fails......yet again, it will be razed rather quickly.

Kentucky Kingdom new in 2015

Do we even know RMC is actually refurbishing Twisted Twins? I haven't heard or read anything about it. I would honestly expect them to have Gravity Group do that before RMC, seeing that the former Gravity Group team, once known as Custom Coasters International, designed it. This is a ride I would love to see a set of Timberliners on, which have worked on smaller wooden coasters not unlike Twisted Twins. No, we don't know. Hence my use of the word "hoping". -
Go to another chains parks sometime for further testing. Today I rode three B&M Coasters in Tampa, FL. They were all smooth as glass. Same was true of the Intamin. Banshee v Montu. I enjoyed Banshee more.....as far as the ride performance. The wife rode Montu with me and is very excited to experience Banshee in a couple of weeks.

Seeing that RMC did the refurb of Thunder Run I am hoping they have great things in store for the Twisted Twins overhaul. -
The Hot Sauce is good stuff. A dab though? Nah. I drown the stuff in it

Nice report, thanks for sharing. The park sounds nice, glad they are dealing with trouble in a prompt manner.

Looks like I'll be missing this next week. Oh well. -
Lots of folks are scared thanks to the "swaying" video. News outlets are posting via Facebook that the ride is fine, hoping people will share it to spread the word. The comments are something else. I believe the video was taken and released for the sole purpose of spreading fear. No matter what the park does, it has quite an uphill battle.

I spent 4 years in Va Beach in the mid 90's. I have been wanting to move back ever since. I have been told that the area has changed quite a lot since then. One nice thing in Va Beach is of course the Beach. Be sure and check out the old lighthouse on Ft. Story. You won't be too far from Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens.

Unless it is some insane amount, any free roaming cash I stumble upon is going in my pocket. A crazy amount is coming home with me while I try and find the owner. If I see someone drop the money, of course it will be given back to them. Wallets, cases, etc, will be returned to their owner ASAP. Losing one of those sucks.

Cool. Those Olds cars were built to last. Unlike today's disposable, dime a dozen, all look the same vehicles.
