Unless it is some insane amount, any free roaming cash I stumble upon is going in my pocket. A crazy amount is coming home with me while I try and find the owner. If I see someone drop the money, of course it will be given back to them. Wallets, cases, etc, will be returned to their owner ASAP. Losing one of those sucks.

Cool. Those Olds cars were built to last. Unlike today's disposable, dime a dozen, all look the same vehicles.

11 year old car, HA. Mine is 20 years and 4 different colors. As for Water Parks in less safe areas, no thanks, I don't really care for them in perfectly safe areas. I wouldn't recommend going down ANY Slides with something around ones neck.

Funny you should say that. I have heard this exact statement from some (they no longer post so I guess Former) KIC members.

I had a family member post the video last night and say "I hope someone reported this". I told them there was nothing to report. Their response, "these things terrify me so I know nothing about them". Lol. Then be quiet and stop spreading bad info.

Disneyland Resort Price Increase

Wow that's a lot of money, especially for this (there are exceptions) non Disney fan. -
Location, location, location. If I am at a park loaded with people looking to have a good time, a high five and such is fine. If I am walking through Target and some random stranger wants a high five it's not gonna happen.

Wow, all this talk of personal space, germs etc is cracking me up. How do you people make friends? You are in a theme park with hundreds if not thousands of others. Common sense should tell you that to expect some sort of interaction with strangers. If one wants to hunker down in fear, more power to em. I prefer to say "hey" than be stuffy. This is coming from an introvert that highly prefers to be alone. I have learned to lock those feelings away and actually enjoy myself at parks. It is one of the reasons I go.

The Fudge at KI is good stuff. Especially the Peanut Butter/Chocolate.

Cedar Fair has definitely taken notice to the reopening of Kentucky Kingdom. I live 45 minutes south of Louisville, yet there are two billboards for Kings Island in town. I can't remember the last time I even saw one. Taco Bell is selling discount tickets that include free drinks.

I am supposed to be watching Football on Thanksgiving? Oops, I must have missed that memo. -
Finally took ride number two yesterday morning and loved it. So far I have been on the far right side of rows one and two. Looking to change this on Wednesday

The park review I heard from a co-worker of the wife was a hardy, it sucked. This person is not a hard core Coaster Enthusiast type either. I chalk that up to it being day one and the park having many bugs to work out. I will be waiting til later in the season to think about making a visit.

Your First Upside Down Coaster?
Dieseltech20 replied to Sonofbeast2.0's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
For me Opryland was my first everything as far as Theme Parks go. We must have rode Grizzly River a half dozen times. I have more memories of my trip to Opryland than I do of my first KI visit a year or two later. -
The Super 8 near the park is a dump. Uncomfortable bed, crappy AC and the room reeked of mildew because of the heavily stained and sagging ceiling. We just stayed at the nearby LaQuinta last night and it was no better. The ENTIRE building reeks of Cig smoke, uncomfortable beds. Our room was not even completely cleaned before we arrived.

FoF96 works for KK. Him answering that question will most likely put him in a bad position.

May 15, 2014: Holiday World Free Day PTR (with presumed 2015 clues)
Dieseltech20 replied to jcgoble3's topic in Trip Reports
That was a very in depth tour. Wish they did that at KI. -
Nice report. I loved Dollywood.

Sorry to double post. The trip through a testing Diamondback was worth a little (a lot actually) bit of color.
-
Heading to the park soon. I'm so out of shape it's pathetic, so no running from me.

Your First Upside Down Coaster?

I would love to see that picture. Being so long ago I have very few memories of my trip to Opryland. Scan it and upload it to photobucket or some other host. -
Your First Upside Down Coaster?
Dieseltech20 replied to Sonofbeast2.0's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Never understood the fear of going upside down. Simple physics taught me at a young age that I would be OK I was 10/11, my cousins and I took one look at the ride and said "we have GOT to ride this". -
We normally go every Memorial Day weekend and the lines are always manageable, WITHOUT a Fast Lane.

Your First Upside Down Coaster?

The first Coaster I ever rode was also my first "upside down" Coaster. The Wabash Cannonball at the late, great, Opryland.
