Saw myself in that video. The tour was cool. I myself enjoy seeing the ride structure and what not more than being next to a Roller Coaster. The technical aspects of the ride interest me for some reason.

Yes, once Premier acquired Six Flags they abandoned any ideas of reopening this park and sold it to Sunshine Properties. The land is now home to the largest private Nature Preserve in Indiana.

This parent would and he lives 30 minutes from KK. The only thing I want to do at KK is take a couple rides on Thunder Run.

Once the park closed it became a Roller Coaster graveyard of sorts. Premier Parks was planning on reopening the park and prepared it for over expansion. The Coasters from Opryland were moved to the site as well as 2 from what is now Six Flags New England. Once Premier was bought by Six Flags the plans were scrapped and most of the Coasters were left to rot. Upsetting to think that my first Coaster ended up sitting in this field for years before being scrapped

Haven't been to KK since Thunder Run was shiny and new and it was the only thing I rode. After that I never really thought about riding Coasters. Spent 4 years in Va Beach and even made a visit to BG Tampa. My 2009 visit to KI changed that. Was talked into riding DB and have been hooked ever since. Sad that I missed so many opportunities in those years between.

I understand what you mean Stud. Some rides at KI rarely get my time now. Rode DB lat weekend, Brown Train and the vibration at the bottom of the drops was incredibly annoying. As for visiting KK, I will do it once next year. They need more in order for me to return. If the experience is anywhere near as bad as Beech Bend, nothing will bring me back.

Without a drop into a tunnel a Giga at KK is not possible. As cool at that Intamin ride LOOKS it would not be enough to keep me away from Kings Island. Was wondering how long it would take for the silly fanboy posts to make a comeback

Most likely because KI cares more about reliability than oh my god this ride is so intense I pee'd my pants.

Normally I would have a smart a reply to the expected "Intamin is cooler than everything" posts by Stud. Not this time though because that Coaster looks pretty fun.

The times I have met members of the site, it was arranged through the boards. Aside from actually asking me you would never know I was a member. Very rare that I start a Convo with someone I do not already know.

I appreciate the opportunities being provided and fully expect the park to set the rules. I am amazed that someone would question why the park is setting the rules on something like this. Especially when you consider they don't HAVE to do anything for us.
