Busch Gardens Williamsburg Cuts
Dieseltech20 replied to bkroz's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sounds like I really need to set up a visit to this park next season. Wonder what the odds are of them closing their one seasonal park? -
Wow, that was quick. Thanks again.

There are people here that know who Terp is, some on a very personal level. He isn't Batman, so I assume he is ok with that

Hello. Before I RSVP for the bday dash could I please have my username repaired. It should be Dieseltech20 Not seeing a lowercase i after the D drives me nuts. Wanting to avoid any possible confusion and be able to put the name in my email properly. Thanks for your time, I know that running one of these sites can be quite a daunting task.

Wow. I didn't think there were that many boneheaded people on this site. When you try and manipulate the system, the system reacts accordingly. One of life's important lessons.

They were very small. About the size of my 9 year olds hand. An entire Pie was about 1/3 rd smaller than the usual family deal Pizza. I expected them to be smaller and was kind of glad. Greasy Pizza and laps on Vortex usually make my stomach very mad at me. The smaller ones made that a non issue. The Hot Dog I had later was good.

We left around 5 and really the only long line we encountered from opening to then was WWC. Seriously.....most everyone at the park was in line for either Pizza or Ice Cream. Festhaus was also packed and one man that was apparently oblivious to everything around him tried ordering the family pizza deal. It took several people to make him understand that the TINY slices were a Dollar each.

The people we saw in line for WWC were nice and dry and this was at 4. No other water ride had a huge line. I figure people liked the shade because it was cool back there. We were not going to wait so we quickly stepped out.

Six Flags in other areas

He loves to think he does. -
Watched the ride do a cycle today with a lone maintenance worker on it. When it swung out the worker was shaking the restraint rather hard. I guess he was making sure it held, not quite sure what he expected to do if it didn't.

The roving Plinko game is indeed a buck. My son won us a front of the line pass on it today. The crowd today was light and ride lines were ok. Food lines on the other hand were insane today. For some odd reason, the line for WWC was completely full.

Thanks for telling us this (in some form or other) in most every thread on this site. -
You have been going to the wrong mechanic. Of course smart people take their car to a qualified technician.....there is a difference. It takes less than a week to rebuild a semi truck engine and have the truck back on the road. Would take even less time to R&R a complete unit. A tiny car engine is even simpler.

Was planning on taking a family trip that weekend. Add this to the Dollar deals and it is apparent they are wanting the park as packed as possible. May be canceling that trip and waiting til Sundays in October.

The S&S Tower was removed from the park in 2008 and reinstalled at Great Escape in New York. -

SFNO still lives on. It has been used as a location for several movies. These movies include the latest Percy Jackson and the upcoming Planet of the Apes. The park is being leased well in to 2014 for other projects. Much like KK, Six was sure to remove anything and everything of value from the park. Some stuff years after the Hurricane. -
Tips for Introducing someone to coasters
Dieseltech20 replied to CharleyTheDinosaur's topic in Kings Island
Bribes don't work. Jokingly tried them with my daughter in the past. Not even a $100 Bill was accepted, lol. Thankfully I do not try them now because I would be out some cash. -

While I will not force anyone onto a ride, I will razz on you to no end, lol. That approach worked well with the wife and she thanks me for it. Not forcing my daughter has worked out in our favor because she tries a new ride every trip. Loves every one of them at the end.
