  1. I paid $16 for those shorts, and that's about all I can afford; I'm on a really tight budget. As for what's going to be in the pockets, I listed that at the bottom of the post. OK, thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
  2. All this conversation is interesting, but can I get an answer to my question?
  3. I'm getting them again very frequently also. Exact same error message that Hendrick posted, right down to the code on the last line. EDIT: They seem to have stopped. For now, at least...
  4. Uh... you shouldn't be using your cell phone while you are driving to begin with.
  5. I sometimes do that with larger things (sunscreen, game prizes, swim trunks, towel, etc.), but I won't leave my keys, money, and ID unattended.
  6. OK, I bought a pair of Op cargo shorts at Walmart today. Here's a photo of the pockets: To give you an idea of scale, the velcro squares are about an inch wide. Do you guys think that's enough to hold objects in, or do I need to add more velcro? I would typically be carrying just cash, change, my ID, my pass, my small cell phone, my keys, and a couple of small Ziploc bags.
  7. Unless something has changed since last year, yes.
  8. For you, maybe. For me, the top item on their Twitter feed is "Rehersals [sic] for the new American Country show in the Festhaus are underway." posted 14 hours ago. This type of nonsense is part of why I don't have a Twitter account yet. (Quick link for others that are interested: http://twitter.com/kingsislandpr)
  9. KI's Facebook page says that Diamondback opened to the public on April 18, 2009, so assuming it opened on the park's opening day, you would be correct.
  10. How old is this photo? I notice in the background that The Racer's trains only had four cars. I wonder when and why the fifth car was added.
  11. I was getting them earlier in the afternoon. Haven't gotten any in the 10 minutes or so I've been on just now, though.
  12. I had the opportunity to ride the original Star Tours in August of last year. My first ride was OK, but after that, I didn't really care for it very much despite being a die-hard Star Wars fan. I'm hoping the new Star Tours is better and that I can come up with the money to go to Florida and experience it (it won't be this year). The fact that it's supposed to have over 50 different experiences that change every time you ride definitely will add to the re-ride value that was lacking the first time around. I'm also interested to see how well the 3-D is pulled off.
  13. Actually, I hadn't thought of that since I'm not very experienced with traveling. I won't deal with any site that doesn't tell you where you're staying until after you book, but a quick search on Orbitz gave me several options well within my price range. Thanks for the tip.
  14. Thanks, but they're more expensive on the weekend in question: $120 for Friday night, $130 for Saturday night, and another $30 in taxes for a total of $280. Looks like I may be searching for a tent...
  15. Thanks, but at about $250 for the two nights in question, that looks like it's just a little bit out of my price range. Oh, really?! I thought it was only about $150 for two nights. I'm sorry to say this then, but it's going to be pretty hard for you to find a decent hotel not too far away from Holiday World under $200. Maybe it was $150 when you went, but that may have to do with the dates in question or what Terpy mentioned. Just now, their reservation system quoted me $250 for the two nights in question.
  16. Well, it was only within the past few days that I realized I had room in my budget for Holiwood Nights. I'll keep that in mind if I decide I want to go back again next year, though.
  17. Thanks, but at about $250 for the two nights in question, that looks like it's just a little bit out of my price range. That might be doable, but it's still pushing my budget. I was looking for more along the lines of a cheap, no-frills motel. I'm hoping to stay under $200 for Friday and Saturday nights (check-in 6/3 and check-out 6/5).
  18. I'm starting to look for a hotel/motel near Holiday World for Holiwood Nights. I've briefly gone through HW's hotel page, but I'm looking for some experience-backed advice from people who have been there before. I'm looking to go as cheap as possible for 2 nights (Fri/Sat), but I'd also like to be reasonably close to HW. I'm considering the possibility of buying a tent (or digging my old one out of the garage if I can find it) and camping at Lake Rudolph, but I haven't done that since the year I spent in Boy Scouts 12 years ago, so I probably won't do that unless I can't find a decent hotel or motel. Any ideas or advice?
  19. I have no problem at all winning the weight guessing games, going 3-for-3 on them last year. I've won a couple of team flags and a Bengals pillow from them. I also won another team flag at the speed pitch game last year with a 37 mph fastball (don't look for me in the big leagues any time soon).
  20. I have a pair of flip-flops. I wore them once for about an hour and swore never to wear them again. They were the most uncomfortable things I ever put on my feet. On the other hand, I just bought a pair of Vibram FiveFingers (http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/index.htm). I find them to be extremely comfortable. If, like me, you can't stand wearing shoes in the house and prefer being barefoot, I highly recommend you give them a try.
  21. It displays for me. I don't know why it won't for you. Try right-clicking on "Posted Image" and looking for an option that says "Reload Image" or something similar. If that doesn't work, try this: http://twitpic.com/4gzrik
  22. Butler's up by 3 at the half on a big NBA-range three-pointer at the buzzer. Butler 22, UConn 19 at the half.
  23. Off-topic, but as a NASCAR fan, this is two of my biggest pet peeves. First, "Nascar" is incorrect; it is always fully capitalized as "NASCAR" because it is an acronym for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Second, it is incorrect to refer to the race car used in NASCAR racing as a "NASCAR"; the correct term is "stock car", "NASCAR race car", or something along those lines. Unlike "IndyCar", "NASCAR" refers only to the sanctioning body and never to the car itself.
  24. Thanks. I'll check my budget and see if I can do this, then.
