I was just pointing out that we have a big enough forum to be a big name amusement park fan site. Not suggesting that we should.

It's really too bad KIC is just a Kings Island site - if we were all things amusement parks we'd be at the top along with TPR (not that I like them)

I don't get it when people say Action Zone has nothing.. Invertigo, Flight Deck, Delirium, Drop Tower, Congo Falls, Thunder Alley*...that doesn't seem like nothing to me. *maybe no more

It's been awhile, but I just have to say I hate the ride and think it's boring, and now that it breaks down often, I don't see it being a long-term ride at KI or any Cedar Fair park.

No way should it be put down. It's a tiger - a wild animal - a carnivore. What do you expect it to do when there's an intruder?

(MORE DETAILED) Slaughterhouse: Last year, I loved Slaughterhouse. It was by far the scariest for me. This year, I was disappointed. None of the actors attempted to scare; they were just walking around with their bloody meat cleavers and axes. It was the first time Slaughterhouse hadn’t scared me more than once. And, guess what? The highlight of the maze was the exit, where the chainsaw guy came out of nowhere to scare the living out of you – not there anymore. 5/10 Club Blood: Oh, Club Blood. The scares have always disappointed me but the girls haven’t (I’ll admit it) – but last night, I got scared a whole bunch. Great crew working in it. I loved the strobe lights part; I forgot about it since 2011 but it is easily the best segment of maze in Halloween Haunt. 8/10 Wolf Pack: Another maze that has always disappointed me but was great. Everything in it is covered in leaves, and the wolves match the color of the trees and dirt just right, so there were several times where I almost touched someone when I thought they were fake; one of the scares in it was the best scare of the night for me (a wolf standing perfectly still that looked fake, and decided to pick on me). 9/10 Urgent Scare: We did this one early in the night like Slaughterhouse, so the actors weren’t that great here either. I still love the theme and setup of the maze. The elevator simulation is awesome, and really freaks some people out. I did get scared several times, but once again, most of the actors were just standing around looking at me. 7/10 Holiday Horror: Last year I thought the same thing; this is more fun than scary. Same way this year, but I was disappointed, AGAIN. No actors! The President’s Day section had absolutely no actors like they did last year, there was no Easter bunny, and only about one actor per holiday. I’m very sad that one of my favorite mazes from last year wasn’t nearly as good this year. 4/10. Overall, last night's mazes were decent. They were all the same as last year but there was a scarce amount of scareactors. Nightmare Alley was stupid, like Snowman said, if you're afraid of giant eyes hanging down from trees, don't do it! Other than that, no scareactors there either. Freak Street's the best scare zone, easily, with the overabundance of fog and the lasers. I'm guessing it wasn't that great last night because it was the first night of the year. Hopefully as the year goes on it will get better.

Random question: Is it true that opening night isn't as crowded as other nights? My mom made a good point: Friday nights are big nights for football games (I'm missing out on one myself), it's a Friday instead of a Saturday, and it's not even October yet. But I don't trust Kings Island crowds anymore!

Where exactly is that located? I'm really interested to see the placement of the maze in the building; will the maze start where the queue was for The Crypt, or will it start inside the ride building, and where in relation to the maze is this dining area?

I just get really mad when I see six year old girls at Haunt. Last year, a mom was holding her daughter when a scarer came up and scared the young girl. The mom said, "What do you think you're doing, scaring a little girl?" The scarer did the right thing and gave the girl a hug, and it all ended well. But you really expect your child to not be scared at Halloween Haunt?

I was just thinking about how they let everyone in; does anyone else think they should have an age limit - not a RECOMMENDED age to go, but an actual rule where they can reject kids under 13? Also, who was it that did the whole Halloween Haunt history on here? It's a current poster, I know that. I want to see that topic again! Edit: Nevermind I found it!

No nead to be harsh^. Yes, I have noticed that SonofBaconador has posted alot of topics recently. But you dont have to rub your KIC Platinum member skills into his little KIC tourist face. I'm getting kind of tired of people thinking I'm mean because I like to think of myself as superior to other posters. Well, no, that's not the case. It's a forum...I could really care less if I'm a KIC Platinum member. I have bigger things in life to be worried about.

Holiday Horror is great, and I think it was one of the more quality houses at Haunt. It's very fun, but it needs to be a little bit scarier. I wish the teddy bears would scare more often...no more spoilers.

What was so bad about Death Row? (never got a chance to go through it). Surely it has to be somewhat better than men in spandex playing cowbell...

Man, I really wish I was alive during Kings Island's golden years. It just seemed so fun, as did all of the 70s and 80s. Instead, I had to be born close to the new millennium and that means I was born close to the mistake Kings Island made, a loss of a stand up, etc., etc. Oh well.

Slaughterhouse, Mysteria, The Beast. Slaughterhouse is just amazing. It's one of the longest mazes there and it's gross, gory, scary, and noisy. All the best qualities for a Halloween maze. Mysteria was disturbing. Men in spandex hitting cowbells with fog covering the whole maze? Wow, real scary. The Beast is just...The Beast. I don't like the ride itself too much, but in the night during Haunt, it's amazing.

Sorry for not answering your question and asking another, but is the dirt road behind Great Wolf, near the Christmas Store (over by Kings High School) the maintenance road into KI?

"Breaking records again"? They added a rocket to it...how is that Planet Snoopy related? Then the countdown started awhile back...which gave a lot more time for people to get excited. Also, I edited my post before for Terpy.

It's pretty bad that they had a countdown for this. And so long in advance too. A lot of people were so excited about it. Bad, bad, marketing by Kings Dominion.
