Kings Island Announces The World's Longest Inverted Coaster for 2014!
I do agree that I wish it broke more records, not because I think it would make the experience any better, but I just don't think a lot of people will give it a chance because all the General Public typically sees is statistics. I've heard a LOT of people say Banshee looks like a Raptor ripoff. I've ridden Raptor, and I think Banshee looks MUCH better. Heck, Afterburn is currently my number 3 favorite steel coaster, and I think Banshee will top it. Banshee MAY even top out Vortex in my list, but let's not get carried away too soon.

People OUTSIDE KI Say The Darnedest Things
Today I was watching the animated Banshee rendering on Youtube and someone commented "Wow, why does it look all animated". I guess "Coming April 2014" doesn't tell them anything useful?

Bavarian Beetle
While we're on the topic of the Bavarian Beetle, did anyone notice that it, along with Ghoster Coaster, are the only defunct KI coasters that didn't get any love in the Banshee teaser?

KI 8-8-13 Announcent Day!
Yes, it was I who was complaining about work, and it was also I who enjoyed some light reading during our night ride on Beast.

Kings Island Announces The World's Longest Inverted Coaster for 2014!
One more comment, and I swear I'll slow down my posting (sorry about that, by the way, it's just that a unique color scheme on a non-cookie cutter B&M Invert with no MCBR has me totally fanboying). This ride just plain looks fun. No denying that. But it definitely doesn't look FUN, and that is a very, very good thing. With rides like Gold Striker and Banshee, methinks the definition of FUN is a-changin' in the best way possible.

Kings Island Announces The World's Longest Inverted Coaster for 2014!
Cedar Point posted on their official Twitter that they are working on the restraints to make them more enjoyable. I would imagine that any modifications made would become the standard design of that restraint style. And I'm sure Banshee's trains will be one of the last pieces to be made, so if changes occur, we'll most likely be getting them in our coaster too. EDIT: O'Terpy. You beat me again.

Kings Island Announces The World's Longest Inverted Coaster for 2014!
I enjoyed the PR behind this announcement more than I'll probably enjoy the coaster. Which is saying a lot, because this is literally the coaster of my dreams. I could not possibly imagine something that caters more to the things I love in a coaster. Literally the ONLY thing that would make it better would be black supports instead of blue. But that is so miniscule that it doesn't even really deserve to be said. But Don and the team deserve MAJOR props for this. The marketing was executed to PERFECTION, and I think the swarm of people in the On Location shop last night is proof of that. The only thing I DON'T like about the announcement is how ungrateful the general public is. Am I the ONLY person who thinks WindSeeker and Dinosaurs Alive are fantastic additions to our park? If nothing else, they got us a makeover of Coney Mall, which is my favorite section of the park.

Oh, there'll be long lines. You can rest assured of that. However, in typical B&M fashion, they'll move quickly if given a team of skilled, hard-working operators.

Kings Island Announces The World's Longest Inverted Coaster for 2014!
I feel the same way. Hence, why I thought "Wheeee! Twisty!" was funny. When you hate a person's guts, there's little that is more enjoyable than seeing them humiliate themselves in front of thousands of viewers.

I can't wait for Theme Park Review to make a POV when it opens. I can't help but wonder what Robb Alvey's commentary will be like. I hope we can top "Wheeee! Twisty!"

How in the world would that work? They could call it "Hangman, the Ride"

No way it's 45 degrees. Lift hills on B&M inverts are usually around 30.

Where does it refer to it. Can you provide something more that it has the abbreviation for an inverted coaster along with a bunch of random other numbers. And we don't know 100% that that track is for us(even though i think it is, with the matching numbers) If you looked at a single Diamondback support, you would have no idea what it would go to. We are all just presuming it is an invert. Hate double posting, but there is one proper response to this. If you looked at a single piece of track for Diamondback, you COULD tell that it is not for an Invert or a flyer. The crossties are different. Edit: Just realized you said "support" not "track". Carry on then...

I'm going to add something here, off topic, but it needs to be said. There have been Intamin fanboys that are very much trolls. Intaminisnumber1 was one of them. He has now been banned. There are Intamin fans who are not trolls, just happen to really enjoy a manufacturer that many among us don't care as much for. YoungStud falls into this group. There are B&M fanboys who are being jerks to the Intamin fans. There are too many to name. There are B&M Fans who have engaged in coherent debate and largely remained clean and appropriate. Again, too many to name. People like YoungStud are valuable members of this forum. They allow us to have conversation, which is what a forum is all about. This place would be really really lame if everyone always agreed about everything. And honestly, I don't think anyone here dislikes Intamin as much as we let on. I think we just like to have some fun with YoungStud. Fortunately, he seems to be a good sport about it. And that is why I, for one, enjoy his company. So thank you, YoungStud. I hope your wildest dreams come true and a reliable, innovative, and forceful Intamin is built at KI one day. B&M Inverts are my all-time favorite non-wooden, non-Arrow coasters, so I'm looking forward to Thursday's announcement. I understand it's probably not as much fun for you. But either way, I hope you stick around, so that we can continue to poke fun at your love of Intamin (all in good fun, of course!) And now, back to our regularly scheduled decoding.

I stand before the council accused of being a B&M fanboy. How cute. Afterburn is the only B&M coaster in my personal top 10. All the same, that means that B&M has one more coaster in my top 10 than Intamin does. Sorry, I know this is 3 pages late. Just got home from work.

I don't remember any fatalities on any Intamin coasters do you? Their coasters aren't made by people like the Dinn Corporation who lots of wood riders used to think had a flawless safety record until that awful Texas Giant incident. I think we're forgetting that we would have quite possibly had SEVERAL fatalities on an Intamin ride VERY recently if some heroic park guests hadn't jumped the fence to flip the overturned boat on Shoot the Rapids a couple weeks ago. #BoatsTooSmall

Since the website has made us question this even further... If it were accurate, could it technically be some sort of weird reverse-psychology based red herring?

Take the dummy website. Replace every instance of "wing" with "inverted" Almost everything it says is still plausible. Seems to me like a good way to test your page without revealing anything. I think the Wing coaster was used BECAUSE of what Dennis Spiegel (is that his name?) theorized in the news report. Since that report, the GP expects a wing coaster. Reinforcing their incorrect assumption would be a good way to surprise them even more than they would already have been. Cedar Fair isn't dumb. They wouldn't leak the website three days early twice.

Other than the footers... we have no evidence of anything. So if you use the only evidence we have, its an invert. I can see what youre saying but you could also consider Dons tweets as evidence as he is our only source of 100% true information. Im not convinced his hints are hinting at what we are focused on though. Just trying to connect the dots Part of Don's job is to throw us red herrings to make sure that nobody feels 100% for sure that they know what it is on the announcement day. You want my opinion? Had those blueprints never gotten out, I really, truly don't think that Bat page would have even been made. I think its sole purpose was to make us doubt, since on this board, many people were feeling very sure it would be an invert named Banshee. I still believe it will be an invert named Banshee.

I think it's safe to say no matter WHAT it turns out to be. How many theme parks have fan forums that explode with their PR director's every word?

I think pretty accurate. the only difference is that i think it will be 200 plus feet. why only go 199' if you can go one more foot and be the first inverted hyper coaster? Because if there are inversions, it isn't a hypercoaster.
