If it is a roller coaster, and they follow the same timeline for Kings Island, that would put us inline to get a roller coaster 2013.. if I am thinking correctly. (Behemoth-2008; Diamondback-2009)

Yes, it was definitely a Boat Tag Attraction. I just couldn't recall if Ki's was called that or something different. BTW, Indiana Beach had one for years... also I think Knoebels has (or had) one. Here's a pic: There is/was something like this at a little mini-golf/go-kart park in a little town in Indiana (Liberty) called Wally World.

It seems like you want to be close for the convenience, but if you are looking for a little cheaper route and don't mind a 15 minute drive to the park, staying in South Sandusky and Milan can save you some money. It is where I usually stay for my trips to Sandusky.

Just as a little comparison, Iron Dragon is 2800 FT long, Flight Deck is 2352 FT. Iron Dragon goes 40 mph, Flight Deck goes 51 mph. I would say one of the reasons Iron dragon feels like such a longer ride than Flight deck is the slower speed, and that dreaded lift hill in the middle so you can make it back to the station. It will be interesting to see the view of investors come next year when the Cedar Fairs changes hands. I know I will be keeping my eye on it.

Flight Deck is an amazing coaster compared to ID. Plenty of speed, and unlike ID, the train gets going fast enough that it sways back and forth. (I recommend riding in both the back and front seat)

I would say to expect more of the same at Cedar Point, maybe a little thicker. I would still expect a wait on Top Thrill Dragster(mainly because of down time back up) though.

I would say it would be pretty safe to assume it should be fairly dead. But we always know what happens when we assume....

I personally would say you can never go to Cedar Point too much, but if no one has been to SFGA, I would have to say that is my pick. I know I love the feeling of being at a park I have never been before, and capturing the whole atmosphere that we usually take for granted at our home parks.

Actually, Busch Gardens offers the exact thing that Kings Island has introduced. It's called the quick queue unlimited pass. ($40 at Williamsburg)

The Fast Lane is not meant to be something that's "affordable" for every trip to Kings Island. That's what general admission is. I live 5 minutes away from the park. There is no way I'm going to pay 50 bucks for the Fast Lane. But when I lived 2 hours away from the park a few years ago; and came to Kings Island 1, maybe 2 times a year, I definitely would have. It's not about have and have-nots. It's about King's Island creating revenue. If you are a Kings Island fan, why would you complain about the park being able to create more revenue? You have to have money to build the roller coasters we all love. Just my two cents, or maybe three.

There's a bunch of shows, definitely check out the shows that run in the Festhaus, and the Ice show that runs in the Kings Island Theater is really good also. And if you want to get wet, the wave pool is a nice touch.

To put in perspective... the closest equivalent at Six Flags, the Flash Pass Gold, costs 61 bucks.
