Considering that 4-5 visits to KI would still pay for it, let alone if you are getting a Platinum pass you are most likely going to go to CP or another CF park, which a 3 day weekend at CP without a pass could run you around120 bucks, I don't see 179 as being over priced. Plus, there will be sales, and probably a discount if you renew. Edit: On another note, it could also be a marketing gimmick. 179 marked down to 149 looks a lot better than 165 marked down to 149.

I'm right there with you rotag, it is one of my least favorite rides, but i know mrs. kingsrattler would be very happy.. I get dragged on the thing a couple times when we go to Cedar Point.

Yeah, during Coaster Mania they were assigning seats on Maverick, and they also did during opening day for Maverick and TTD (if you stayed around till 6 when it finally opened that night.)

Why take a ride out? Why not just build it somewhere else?

Well.. Orlando Thrill Park, if it comes to fruition is supposed to have an inverted accelerator... that would be a neat ride at ki (but would never happen.. think TTD has downtime.. could only imagine it inverted) Other than that, I would like to see a nice restaraunt... even if it was just a real La Rosa's... with table service.

From my experience.. with Diamondback, when the park and line is thin, they stop counting off seats. I feel like this is probably the case with how they are now doing The Beast.

Are you comparing a volunteer rep position to a job? Also if you were to degrade the company you had said job with on a forum, I could see there being words said by that company to offer a counter statement, in which the company would announce that person no longer is an employee of the company. I've seen it happen. More than once.

I had a similar experience on Maverick during opening day, sans the operator communication issues. They did a great job, and had a ride op walk up and talk to us while we were stuck on the platform. Another 30 minutes later we were helped off the ride, and down the nice skinny 50 foot high spiral stair case. It made a huge difference though, having the ride up there on the platform.

You, of course, not meaning you snowman, for those in the forums who take every word to literal meaning, but you in the broader sense.

Oh no I was just over there Sunday, as I am looking to move to Monroe Crossings, and thought it was kinda neat to be across the street from L'ville Lake, and sure enough, it was still standing. It is very sad to hear that is not the case anymore.

I stand corrected on the Universal Express Passes, thanks Gator. And for SIX.. So if the wait is 90 minutes, you wait 10 minutes, but then you get to ride twice. And also, for Busch Gardens..

Busch Gardens has an unlimited option (I used it last month), Flash Pass Platinum at SIX is pretty much identical, and Universal's is unlimited. And I will clarify my question.. do the individuals who have a distaste for "Fast Lane" share the same distaste for the other parks I mentioned, with their unlimited options?

I also question the validity of the "Fast Lane" system being Kinzel's idea in Lance's post. Wasn't it Ouimet that said on his visit here that said something about it, then a few days later, it was put into practice?

Why not? They all have the same line jumping system?

The locals that post on Thrill Network seem to believe so "topic: Dollywood Coaster 2012?!?!" Their big point of contention in that forum is whether it will be a wing rider, or another type of B & M. Edit: Not that they really have any more information than us, but they do see the construction everyday... there's some pics of the supports in that topic.
