I feel if Kings Island gets an expansion in Boomerang Bay, if it is anything other than a wave pool, it will be a water coaster. They are definitely the new era of water ride.

Anyone else find it interesting that out of the 7 coasters in RCDB built by RCCA, only one was built in the USA (coming from a company with America in their name), that one coaster being Son of Beast

Like this one? This was outside Planet Snoopy last year. It was a ton of cookies celebrating Snoopy's birthday or whatever. I wouldn't get my hopes up. Maybe the August announcement is snoopy's birthday.

I would have to say, charging extra for Boomerang Bay would really help out The Beach Waterpark's business.

Here you go. Up-charges for un-needed services. You hit the nail on the head. These experiences are NOT necessary to enjoy your day at Kings Island. Seeing the Dinosaur park is not needed. Fast Lane is not needed. The 3-D movie is not needed. Laser tag that is not needed. NONE of those activities are required to enjoy your day at the park. So why you complain, I don't know... After all, I think you've made it very, very, very clear that you don't partake in those "un-needed services," so you haven't spent a single cent more this season than you did last season, and have had the exact same experience to show for it. Why are you complaining? You have no interest in the laser tag, you have not paid extra for the laser tag, and thus you have not been affected whatsoever by the laser tag's presence. Quite the opposite, making things like the dinosaur park, new 3-D film, laser tag, parking, and Fast Lane free would exponentially increase the daily admission ticket. Better to have the OPTION to pay for it and not do so, than to pay for it and not partake. No, you sir hit the nail on the head. Great post, and along the lines of what I said 4 posts earlier

^^ Raptorguy, I think you said it perfectly.. although may not have been how you are meaning it. Too much nickel and diming just gives a bad taste in ones mouth, especially for un-needed services like this! The extra charges are for "un-needed" services. Kings Island thought it would be a great idea to not pass up a deal to be able to get a Dino Exhibit, so here it is. It costs extra. You go to CoSi, and want to go to their extra exhibits, you pay extra on top of regular admission (i.e. Titanic last year). Since when has laser tag ever been free? Other parks that have comparable fast pass systems also charge for fast pass, so that is the norm. If you don't want to utilize it, then don't. IMO all of these have been to try and make the park more attractive to a wider audience (not pass holders) because while we are an important group, we are just a fraction of the attendance of Kings Island on a daily basis.

Oh you can bet Kings Island is keeping a close eye on this forum (especially since they have formally joined KICentral) since for lack of a better demographic, we are their most loyal customers. Also I have seen them inline questioning non Fast Lane users, albeit not as much as those actually using the system. Also, I was there this Saturday and Sunday, and didn't feel like the Fast Lane affected the lines all that much. Granted when all the queues on The Beast are full, the difference between 1 1/2 hours, and 1 hour and 45 minutes seems very mute.
