  1. Are you nuts. The lines haven't been that bad all summer unless you could only come on the weekends. I've been to KI 14 times this season and just look at my signautre to see the # of rides I have ridden so far this season. Yes it has been hot, but I only went like one day when it was extremly hot. Sorry not trying to me be mean, but sounds like a poor excuse to not get your money's worth on your SP.
  2. Just to say, I don't have a problem if HH is an upcharge next year. At least it won't be advertised as included. Even though FearFest is no more, they were advertising all season that it would be free with park admission, so I think this is a great move for Cedar Fair. And thank you.
  3. That's a tough one to call. This is the first year they have offered such a deep discount for Labor Day weekend. It all depends on who will jump on that deal. As far as Sunday or Monday this weekend, I would say Monday. Sunday will probably be busier cause the park is open longer, and Kids and Parents won't have to work on Monday. Monday People will probably leave early as Kids have to be back to school on Tuesday. But that's my take. This last Sunday the park was not busy at all. I was only in the park for 6 hours and around 8 the place really cleared out.
  4. People were upset when they thought it was going to be an upcharge, and now people are upset that it's free. You can't please anyone. But I bet they intended it to be an upcharge this year, but since they promised in the 2007 park maps that FearFest would be included with park admission they probably figured it would be better to have HH free for 2007. Sounds like 2008 HH will be an Upcharge
  5. I doubt they will start to charge a fee for BB. They are some of the legacy Cedar Fair parks that do not charge for there water park.
  6. Yes the park is open as usual during Nick or Treat.
  7. Winterfest pre-Paramount was included with your season pass, if you had that years pass or next years.
  8. I agree, Drop Zone is probably going no where. I still enjoy the ride, I've rode it more this year then in years past.
  9. I can tell ya what I've seen however. Drop Zone doesn't seem as popular as before. On my last 2 visits of the park, Drop Zone has been a walk on ride, and Delirium has has a 2 que or a 2 cycle wait.
  10. Also CW's season passes for 2008 are not good for 2007.
  11. But FearFest wasn't always free. 2000 and 2001 were both upcharge year for FearFest. I also as an employee of KI in 2000 had to pay to enjoy FearFest.
  12. The prototype B&M trains sure looks different. I wonder what those will feel like. I knew it was going to be B&M. Anyone notice how the ride looks as if it's going to be built over IJ.
  13. I believe they are still $24.95 at the park as well, as they have been advertising that price after 5pm on the big sign.
  14. I was thinking the same thing, however I was the park today, the weather was perfect not too hot and the park was not very busy at all. Kinda surprising being a Sunday and all. The longest lines I waited in where for Flight of Fear and Firehawk and they were only about 20 minutes. Sounds like to me they are trying to get some more people through the gate next weekend.
  15. Which is very much why they may have changed the name. I'm sorry sir we cancelled FearFest but your more then welcome to pay to enjoy Halloween Haunt.
  16. No for one that other park, Scarowinds always charged extra for there Halloween Event. But I was just saying, if KI decides to make HH an upcharge it will change my plans on visiting.
  17. If they charge I will only go once. I can't justify myself spending 20 dollars or whatever it will be just go visit the HH. I hope it will be included with your season pass, if not it will be a big mistake in my opinion.
  18. I doubt it will be, they probably just changed the name on the 2006 Fearfest map just to put it up there.
  19. If they do charge for HH this year, then the park is open for all day as well, well the park opens at 12pm on Saturdays in October. It sounds like to me they are still trying to figure out if they should charge extra for KI's HH or include it in the parks admission. I hope they do include it, I don't feel like shelling out another 20 dollars just to visit KI in the evening on Friday or Saturday evenings.
  20. Kings Island use to charge extra for FearFest in 2000 and in 2001. I remember even having to pay as an employee of the park to go. I at least remember in 2000 paying, they may have giving us free tickets in 2001 for employees.
  21. Torture Tower was actually on the lower 265 foot platform of the tower, not the 275 foot platform. I was lucky enough to work on that attraction one evening, in full make-up. They had to have a ride op at the top next to the stair well, which was left unlocked in case of an emergency. But they gave us something to do to help scare people. We got to pull a mummy out of a box which has fog rolling out of it. I got some people really good.
  22. But Scarowinds was always an upcharge, so it's wasn't Cedar Fair. Also Fearfest at Canada's Wonderland was always an upcharge as well. Kings Island, and Kings Dominions has been included with park admission for the last several years.
  23. Scarowinds Halloween Haunt, is $29.99 but if you have a season pass it's $19.99.
  24. I believe the park was open 10am till 8pm on Sunday's last year.
  25. I seen Dino out the front gates at the end of June, but haven't seen him again though after that one time.
