  1. I wonder if this will be an upcharge? I surely hope not. Where can I purchase tickets? Information will be available soon. How much does all of this in-your-face terror cost? Information will be available soon. Where can I purchase tickets? Information will be available soon. The above was taken from general information page on the new HH website.
  2. Halloween Haunt A New Level of Fear is Coming This Fall EVERYONE'S DYING TO GET IN. There’s an all new level of fear this October! Halloween Haunt – Kings Island’s new bone-chilling Halloween event – will feature twice the number of monsters, new highly intense and terrifying attractions, and a longer haunt time for guests. Nothing is off limits! Gates to the underword for Halloween Haunt AT Kings Island will be open from 7pm - 1am every Friday and Saturday night from September 28 through October 27 and daily from 7pm until Midnight October 28 - 31. Halloween Haunt will include graphic scenes, suggestive themes and intense imagery and is intended for mature audiences. Parents please be advised. There's only one place around with 13 haunted attractions including chain link mazes, frightening wooded trails, demented clowns in 3D, and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet.
  3. Well maybe they didn't do it last year, but I know they have done it before.
  4. I have seen Vortex go down to a 2 train operation a lot in the post season. I remember us doing it in 2001, and I believe they did it last year as well. They usually do it, to get ahead on winter maintenance.
  5. That would be correct, more then likely SOB and Firehawk will be open during FF. Unless SOB closes early for the season which it has before. But since it didn't open till July I would be surprised if they shut it down early.
  6. Sounds like to me though that Drop Zone may be done for 2007. Unless they are trying to fix it as we speak? That sucks though to have 2 major rides down.
  7. I'm 51 miles away from KI. Not bad at all really. Considering some people have to drive 2 - 3 hours + just to there closest theme park.
  8. Uhh I think Delirium has an automatic cycle, it should stop on it's own. And I agree with Vortex having a really bad crew this year. They stack every train, it takes them almost 3 minutes to send one train. They really are no point to even run 3 trains. But thats okay, cause more then likely the ride will be going down to 2 train operation for the rest of the year, like they do every season after Labor Day.
  9. It looks complete. They are a concrete path that runs from the left of the TG entrance, and a another connection to the TG Que before the first set of stairs. Off Topic: We already have 2 end-caps set up front with Halloween/Fall candy, it gets earlier and earlier every year.
  10. Actually I think that happned on the 18th. I rode DZ 2 times on the 17th. However the ride was up and down a few times through out the day, and wasn't open at all at 11am.
  11. Heck most of the TV's speakers don't even work, so you can't even hear it anyway. I voted for employees and prices. I have encountered some really bad employees this year. This prices, we already know they are out of control.
  12. It last operated in 2000, and they started to tear it down in 2001, I remember watching them tear it down, when I would go on brake. I would take the long way to Oscar's through Rivertown and cut behind Wings just to watch them. TRTR opened in 2002, so it wasn't all that long ago when KCKC operated. I remember everyone thought PKI didn't like rides with KC as it's initials cause KC last operated in 2001. LOL
  13. I work in Retail and you wouldn't believe the # of employees I have seen get fired for stealing stuff, and stealing money. They are camera's everywhere they may not get caught the first time, but they will will eventually.
  14. I worked 3 GE Days, 1999, 2000 and 2001, and I don't really recall how busy the park was.
  15. Eurobungy is indeed on the old site of the Flight Commander, trust us on that one. If you look to the left on the Eurobungy you can see the old Que blocked off that was used for Flight Commander.
  16. I for one however did enjoy the Endless Summer on Ice, it was nice to have a ice skating show return to KI. If they do bring an Ice Show back next year, I hope they do change it up a little. I liked School of Rock, but I know some will hate me for this, I thought it was kinda cheap that they had the same show 2 years in a row.
  17. I can't imagine why you would say that?
  18. I don't understand why they had to end the show today? Why couldn't it have went till Labor Day? Of course that could have been the decision made based on the performers availability, with some of them going back to school?
  19. If you get there early you can get on Skyflier for $5 dollars a person, they do raise the price to $10 dollars a person when more people get in the park. I have also seen Sling Shot as cheap as $5 dollars a person as well. But usually Sing Shot is $10 - 15 dollars.
  20. I think he meant 8/18 and not 8/16. As he said yesterday. And yes Friday was DEAD.
  21. It was not rotating on Friday, they are probably having issues with the component that makes it turn. This is not the first time this has happened.
  22. Not to mention as well, they even got my order wrong. I ordered a blue berry cone, and he even asked me again what I wanted before he made it, and he still brought me a twist, blue berry/vanialla, if I already wasn't mad I would have said something again, but I didn't want to start anymore issues. P.S. Dollywood trip report coming soon. My computer has been acting funny and this is the first time I was able to log on line since late Friday night.
  23. I remember when The Beast line would go all the way back pass the antique cars, when they ran both sides. I remember the sign that use to sit out by LaRosa'sthe wait for The Beast is approximately 2 hours from this point. I also remember Vortex's line going all the way back to Skyline in Coney Mall. But of course that was back when they only had just a handful of major coasters.
